I was up there last Thursday and there was quite some snow. I skied right to the road. But it's true, last days quite warm and humid weather, so the question is what current conditions are. If going tomorrow, definitely wouldn't take skis

Me too, going to Viševnik on Saturday. Would do a circular tour over Srenjski preval and Kačji rob. Is it dangerous to walk that part? I mean due to snow avalanches. Asking because I have little experience walking on snow

Today on Viševnik, gotta say super. Weather fantastic and veeery warm. Tons of people. Around 11 on top about 20 or more. Path snowy only above ski slope, careful spots esp on descent because frozen snow. To top bare, few patches. Nice tour.

Two skied from top on Sunday. If you don't pity your skis, then enough snow, but lots of rocks in between. Surely today conditions totally different. lp

Otherwise you can go right to the ''bottom'' with a heaping dose of caution. The last snow I think didn't change the conditions much. But conditions will change a lot in the coming week.

Today on Sunday 27 December some hikers climbed to the top of Viševnik.
Weather was quite nice, at the top beautiful view of Triglav and surrounding peaks opened up.
Snow conditions for hiking are good, hard packed snow, just at the top need to watch out because it's icy and slippery. For ski tourers not too good, too many rocks on the lower ski slope part.
Otherwise nice day spent in winter conditions.

Today on Sunday 3.1. Viševnik was very nicely visited. The biggest factor was fantastic weather.
For ski tourers conditions a bit better but not yet real ski touring. Most of them went up to Veliki Draški vrh.
Still need great caution on the section 30m below the summit. Recommend crampons.

Classic, Viševnik! About the route lots written elsewhere, conditions for walking quite good, slope full of holes from walkers lengthwise and crosswise. In upper part snow heavy and southern, so with Franci and Tobij we decided to ski down the gully directly to Konjščica, Iztok skied for us over Zlate vode and ski slope to valley. Skiing in upper part difficult due to southern snow, middle part pure poetry. Powder, powder..through forest where best run, then rodeo in lower part to summer path above Planina Konjščica, where we joined group of skiers from Veliki Draški vrh and snowshoer from Ablanca. Traversing on skis tricky, then creaky descent to Rudno polje. Still way too little snow for real skiing pleasure. LP Andrej

On Viševnik I was on Thursday; weather sunny already on Pokljuka, quite a few people, no lack of company. Path is packed and not sinking, for descent good to put on gaiters.

Nice greeting! This Viševnik is really heaven, so I was very tempted to go hiking there a bit. Haven't been in mountains in winter yet, wondering if there's any avalanche danger on Viševnik? thanks!
