yeah I was up there last Saturday and there was thick fog and sinking in places up to the waist, otherwise if nice weather I think you could go.

As it says online in Julian Alps level 3 avalanche danger out of 5, otherwise if weather nice think you can go up as Viševnik not much exposed to avalanches but take full winter gear because path might ice up.

Today with friend on Debela peč and conditions in this area super, only discomfort relatively strong wind.

Today on Viševnik really nice weather, snow just right for hiking and accordingly quite a few visitors.

Don't go up, the snow is wet and it's snowing even more, so in these conditions it's currently tempting fate.

Hi,

today I was on Viševnik. The snow is really very wet, but you can go without problems. Today there was a whole procession. No already triggered avalanche was seen.

May 1st Viševnik was still deep in winter.
Under the summit it collapsed quite a bit....in the lift area good consolidated snow even despite later hours.

At 7.30 it was 4°C at Rudno polje, at top of lifts already scorching. Wonderful day, just right crusty snow for safe step (mainly descent)-collapsing max to ankles. Summit complete calm (hot!) and nobody. From summit to Srenjski preval not trodden, no track visible past Selišnik and Debeleg vrh to Lipanca. Descent from Viševnik direct down gully between Jezerci and Sive police to planina Konjščica. Hut opens in June, but shepherd Brane on Sunday round and kindly offered drink (Brane, thanks!). Gaiters dry, boots need day despite impregnation. LP, GK
