Snow plenty everywhere. I think about a meter on Viševnik unless more fell since weekend. Elsewhere mostly more - around.

Fairly late start at 9.30 from Rudno polje, warm sunny weather. With skis on feet went nicely to top of upper cable car station, then due to slippery south snow skis on backpack to ridge above Zlate vode. Sun got higher, snow melting and slushing more and more. From ridge to top again nicely with skis, edges held ok. Descent from top Viševnik to lower ski field solid given hot conditions, except some parts already stones under snow need to watch skis. At lower ski field had to check if removed edges, braked like not. Probably last roughly solid descent from Viševnik to car this year, I'll remember for pleasant company of nice Styrian Mateja I'd love to see again. Know only she works somewhere in Ljubljana and likes touring and alpine skiing. Mateja if you read this get in touch, if anyone recognizes please tell her. Damjan, Gorenjska

On Saturday my girlfriend and I were up there. Most of the path (from the upper part of the ski slope) still has snow, mainly wet. The summit was in fogs, so we weren't treated to views - only towards Lake Bohinj was visible.

On Viševnik we "announced" ourselves to friends last Saturday. Nice weather was forecasted, but there was no sun even for a sample, summit in fog. When we reached it, it thickened even more and continuing towards Mali Draški vrh wasn't sensible. It was very pleasant descent on snow, which starts right above the upper cable car station. Despite everything, nice easy ascent.

On Sunday "assault" on Viševnik from Rudno polje. Weather was wonderful, clear and sunny, which even occasional wind couldn't spoil. Besides us hikers, touring skiers-boarders dominated anyway, really a paradise for them...The path is trodden, so no problem to the summit, view is fairy-tale!

what are the conditions on Viševnik for walkers? does it sink anywhere? is the path Jezerce-Srenjski preval-summit trodden?

The path to Viševnik from Rudno polje is nicely trodden and doesn't sink. From Jezerce to Srenjski preval usually not. It should be noted that there is still great danger of snow avalanches in the Julian Alps.

The path on Sunday wasn't icy and as my predecessor said, the path from Rudno polje is nicely trodden and except for recommended poles you didn't need other winter gear.

hi everyone! i'm wondering if tomorrow's good for a day trip to viševnik-and what's the better route, cuz i've always gone thru jezerca or from lipance,,past karavle not yet but curious if ya can go via the ski slope?
