First to Plesišče and then to Viševnik, but since the colors after sunset are so beautiful I climbed to Plesišče once more.

Today I took advantage of the nice day and did a little loop on Pokljuka via barracks - Viševnik - Konjščica - Uskovnica - Zajamniki - barracks.
Up to the top of Viševnik it's trampled, so you don't even need gaiters, for crampons each decides themselves, I didn't use them for ascent. On descent I used winter gear, snow mostly held to the marked path, then to Konjščica softer, as not trampled yet. From Konjščica to Uskovnica well trampled, some microspikes not amiss, also on the way to Zajamniki and back to Rudno polje all trampled, slippery in places.

This would be long even in dry conditions. Pictures for the calendar, as Dejan notes. But not for PZS, where they have all mistakes in it. Whole February I have to look at Šite with wrong height 2235m jezen

I was on Viševnik yesterday (12.2.), start from Rudno Polje (or at barracks).
Conditions very easy, snow already very compacted but not frozen. I put on crampons somewhere at the ski slope and think it was a good move. Route well trodden, no orientation issues.
Reached the top before sunrise as first. Almost no wind all the way, but up top almost blew me away.

Yesterday winter-spring Viševnik. Most snow up to Plesišče, then thins out a lot, last part dry. Crampons just went for a ride and stayed in the backpack.

I was on Viševnik yesterday and there's practically no snow on the path anymore. There's a little bit on the short ascent before Plesišče (a couple of cm, and you can bypass it). Higher up, the path was dry to the summit.

In these unstable weather conditions, Viševnik is the right choice as we can do the circular path quickly. The day before yesterday the path was wet and slippery, most mud on the ascent to the saddle below Plesišče. We descended via Srenjski preval to the valley, where there's still quite a bit of snow and it offers some winter feel in spring. Flowers delight on all slopes. Today's Viševnik.

The path is whitened with snow, but reachable without gear, though I'd recommend at least microspikes, I used ice axe and crampons myself. Snow for crampons is too little on most of the path, so the points scrape on rocks.

Despite morning cloudiness, sunny at the summit, on the way back (at 10am) snow already quite soft. Path to Srenjski preval looks trodden.

At the summit it's windblown to hard base, about 20 cm fresh snow.

Today we had a club trip to Viševnik and mixed in with the crowd on the mountain, as everyone wanted to make the most of the beautiful day. velik nasmeh

Little snow, everyone decides on winter gear themselves, probably microspikes are enough.
It was a warm day surrounded by great views. nasmeh

We chose the best possible in this spring-winter. Parked at Rudno polje and already at the car stepped onto skis and ascended via the ski slope to Zlate vode then continued up to the summit ridge of Viševnik, where before the last steep we took off skis due to crusts and hiked to the top on foot. Views excellent. A handful of backcountry skiers and hikers also reached the summit. Returned to the skis and skied the slope on excellent snow. From the flat below Plesišče we went up a bit and among larches in a snow shower skied the slope to Zlate vode. With a few turns and sideslipping the gully was behind us and on very scant snow cover sped to the foot of the ski slope and later through the woods to the car.
