Hi!
Haven't been up recently, but from observations (Debela Peč, Lipanski vrh..), i.e. Triglav foothills, currently no snow at all. A few cm along the trail (or not even), to Viševnik, definitely no obstacle.
Go ahead boldly, heinz!

I was on Viševnik today, first I climbed Veliki Draški vrh. Started at half past eight, partly clear but already windy, at Rudno polje proper winter weather, only snow missing, some patches remained. Up to halfway ascent to Veliki Draški vrh sun shone, then more clouds and fog. Ascent to summit mostly fog-free, but strong wind, proper winter up there, snow just traces, more in shady spots, summit lightly whitened, probably from yesterday's snow showers. On top some sun and fog, only neighboring hills visible, towards Triglav all fogged. Ascent to Viševnik in light snowfall, strong wind on top, quite a few visitors.
So, real winter in mountains, larches still green, just need more snow, but probably warming up.
New biathlon center nicely arranged. Visible that north wind this week did lots of damage, many spruces broken again.

Yay... after a month of "forced" lying and recovery today back in the mountains . As my predecessor said, real winter in mountains. Around 9:30 start at Rudno polje past planina Konjščica, where weather still promising. Snow (not an obstacle) started on meadow below Studorski pass and here cold wind began blowing, which from Srenjski pass along ridge to Viševnik only strengthened. Started snowing too. Despite cold, fogs, snowing there were quite a few people and apart from (greater) slip risk path ok.

Was today on Viševnik. Started from ski slope above barracks. Wonderful day with excellent view, not too cold, just right, no snow, otherwise bit slippery. Mountain idyll only spoiled by group of four Italian "experts", could follow them for 5km, so loud they were!
Extended mountain pleasures to Mali graški vrh and along edge of konjščica back to Rudno polje! 
More such days!

Does anyone have an idea why it doesn't show the link just with the link name (e.g. Viševnik), but shows the full record? When commenting on trips it works without problems.

When commenting on trips instead of the full link url=http://... it shows only the link name (e.g. Viševnik), which is active - clicking it redirects to the photo album. But that doesn't work here.

Today due to lack of time we chose a short but nice tour to Viševnik and thus "opened" our snow tour season. The track is made as we witnessed, every step left or right of it means sinking to the knees and higher. Despite it being a workday, the summit was quite visited. We counted about fifteen visitors, mostly "hikers", three or four ski tourers, one returned to the valley by paraglider . Weather fantastic, clear, no cloud, the sun scorched on the way to the summit enough for short sleeves, at the summit very light wind. Views accordingly. From the summit onwards nothing trampled or skied. We spotted a ski tourer skiing from Veliki Draški vrh. In two words: wonderful day!

Today I was (from Pokljuka-Rudno polje) on Viševnik. Weather warm, sun peeked out at times, no wind, views super...lots of visitors, ski tourers+boarders and us walkers. Plenty on Pokljuka itself as XC skiers already full throttle Nice day...

rozka, nice you bothered to label what peak is what, but don't agree with first pic! Left isn't Golica but end of Belščica ridge (end before Stol shows Vajnež and Potoški Stol). Golica much more left, Sruška in between.
