Yeah it's a 3, but depends where. Viševnik, depending on wind direction during precipitation, definitely avalanche-prone (seen) southeast slopes (sun) and northeast and north and locally again. Within the summer trail no special features. But tomorrow it'll be different, already today crust was forming on sunny slopes. Really wondering who punched holes in the touring track and that downhill . Next to it trodden path for hikers. I think it was on purpose

Hey gtrefalt....since the weather hasn't changed much these days and no one has replied, it's like this. I was up there last weekend. Nicely trodden. You can use crampons or go without. It's a matter of feeling safe. Towards the top, a bit less snow. Plenty of visitors. Otherwise nice, good luck -Majda..

Today there was a real crowd on the path to Viševnik. The pics below show that the conditions for ascent to Viševnik are great. Crampons and gaiters not needed... Pinki, plenty of skiers and boarders too...

Of course it's suitable, I'm heading to visevnik tomorrow myself. Of course we can't expect too nice weather. Nicer in Kamniško-Savinjskih Alps. L.P

I wasn't there myself, but my acquaintance was - not too enthusiastic, she said it kept sinking under her.. but - wherever you go higher these days, probably similar story.. Lp

today I was on Viševnik and as carpediem mentioned it's true that most of the path sinks under feet. Maybe if you start very very early when it's still a bit frozen?

Yesterday, on Friday, I was on Viševnik. Snow starts at saddle, or meadow, if you climb ski slope and continues all to about half path to top where bare. Was early but already sinking quite a bit, on return even more. Quite strenuous. Where possible went on grass, but need to watch carefully cause slippery!!! Was wonderful day, worth effort, nice view, and of course beautiful colors of gentians...
