Lothar - your snapshots (photos) from Viševnik are really nice... Sorry but they don't fit in current conditions, because such things like snapshots etc. that don't show current conditions were moved to "general talk" on request of many, not that I'm allergic but they mislead us... and likely not taken same day.. and a few words could be added so we visitors can interpret... Don't take it bad... safe steps and many nice days and photos I wish you...

@Kozorog: Photos taken last week (yes, not all from the same day) and purpose more to show Viševnik than current conditions. I think some visit this forum for that (at least I ).
Next time with older photos I'll note in description not to mislead anyone.

Conditions still very good. Morning snow on ski slope frozen, with height due to strong inversion temperature rose. Summit part snow wind-crust. Towards noon some hazy clouds, top occasional wind.

How's Viševnik? I'm thinking of going tomorrow very early in the morning. Are crampons mandatory? Last time when I was there it was doable without problem without.

Why do you always ask such stupid questions: in winter in the mountains mandatory equipment: crampons,at least small ones, depending where you go, battery, warm clothes, winter boots,ice axe,goggles, GPS,phone....I myself go to the top often, for comparison cca. 1500 m, and I have with me equipment to go easily to Kredarica or even higher.Or I have extra equipment at least in the car and at the starting point decide based on conditions what to take on the tour. l.p.
