On the last picture is- Gloria-. In it you can see yourself. Usually it appears from some fog, wonderful, no doubt!

The wind howling around the trees scattered snowflakes through the air. In the glow of the "headlamp" I watched the dance of crystals mixed with my breath... This could be the start of a book, but I won't ramble pointlessly, maybe not everyone has an ear for it. Anyway, I was on Viševnik, this time the skis came with me! Arrived at RP in total darkness, parked, prepared and set off on the path. Although there's little snow (read: crusty but still skiable) I'm in good spirits. The ski slope goes nicely, I pull my own track or walk where the ratrack went. Soon I stop at the second lift station and look into the gully. Yeah, the gully was one big sadness, so I decide to leave the skis there (later I regretted it). Soon at the saddle and then at the summit. Nicely exploited morning... Conditions: from windpacked hard snow to breaking through to the butt, to thin crust. Skiing across the belt of scrub could be a story in itself (everyone manages as they can), on the summit part of Viševnik it's hard and frozen, the wind blew hard today. Gully under the saddle full of rocks and crusty, crusty. From the saddle to the top it's a mix. Track pulled, gaz too , on the way back I met surely 15 tourers and 5 boarders, and 5 hikers. It was nice! Lpp

Not bad either, if you'd continue in this tone....

But is the ski slope ratracked?

only ski slope edges meaning right and left (where draglift will run), still huge powder 30-40cm , only summit part frozen, gully pure misery (no base visible) cool for first tour descent...

Very enterprising and I presume also extremely pleasant day you've made for yourself, Mountain Lover. Inspiring and infectious.

I like to hike in the mountains only in good weather, so I have fewer trips per year, but still about 15 without winter ones.

nice tour. but still don't understand why you didn't descend from beautiful Begunjščica to S side and climb Vrtača, instead of driving over 20km to RP? matter of choice, but Vrtača is great. strongly recommend it to you for next time

Yes, Viševnik gets quite a lot of visits, especially in winter. We two also visited it today. Parked by the monument then past Blejska koča to Lipanci, on to Viševnik and down to Rudno polje. Only a bit more boring is the road that takes you to parking, otherwise nice loop path. As for conditions legenda described them well, yesterday's identical to today's. Lp
