Are crampons needed if going from Avsa? Is the road to Avsa dry?

I was on Matajur. Crampons don't hurt for the descent.

Thanks to both. Now Matajur is finally nicely snow-covered and invites new experiences.

Today we visited Matajur, from Italian side snow starts right after the hut. On top 10-15 cm. The path is quite trodden, slippery in places. Above the fog cleared for us and the view rewarded the visit.
