Is anyone going Sunday, 25.02.2018 to Viševnik. We 3-4 from Slavonia (HR) are planning, wondering if possible without snowshoes.

By Sunday it'll be trodden down; if it goes nicely without snowshoes, it's hard to say given the snow depth.

Today Tinky and I headed to Viševnik, classic from Rudno polje towards ski slope past meadow, through scrub to top. Snow from start to end of course nasmeh

we had crampons for better feel, esp. on ski slope. Otherwise normal passage, but in upper part snow crack slab lower off path might go, ... bit of wind and sun warmed us. On return to Bled at Šmon for dessert.

Yes at Šmon's we were, also to Šobc to see where autocamp extensively renovating.

Dangerous crevasses.
On SE side a large crevasse opened (luckily off the path).
Also increasing on south side below summit. Careful. zmeden

Slid about half a meter since yesterday.

Things are happening on Viševnik. Crevasses and starts of avalanches also in unusual places.(in the path and skiing area). zmeden

Hello! Tomorrow I'd go along the classic path from Rudno polje to Viševnik. Has anyone visited the summit these days? Is it "safe"? I'm a recreational hiker. Poles and crampons; is it safe enough? Thanks!

Yes, totally safe, start before 7 so at least a bit frozen.

Today Viševnik. Start from Rudno polje around 9. Snow well trodden, no sinking despite late hour. Some microspikes, others none. Many skiers. Temps summery, short sleeves.
