thanks a lot Flora, my wrong sentence start has nothing to do with lack of trust, but with lack of Slovenian (foreigner from Italy )

Today drove to idyllic Pokljuka, where huge runners. Our goal V.Draški,or check conditions.Skis home, solidarity with walkers.Turn to pl.Konjščica,or upper path to Jezerc.Forest hard made track, above pasture sun starts deep sinking, obvious, temps spring.Post clear, foot to V.Draški no,esp not dog.Reserve over Srenjski preval to Viševnik, succeeded, but without ski firm track Jezerc to pass would be way of cross. Here apologize tourers,we poked track bit.Without snowshoes or skis advise against path, insane sinking. On top crust, bottom dry snow,so ski these days meh.Met 5 tourers,2 boarders rode west flank Viševnik(edge left downhill),seems risky and 2 observed skiing V.D.Vrh..Descent Viševnik one two three!!

Better choose some Menina, Blegoš, Ratitovec,... and similar, so won't need anything else than crampons.

Today we skied at the ski resort and I watched how they were walking in columns to Viševnik (tourers and walkers).

Today after work to Viševnik. The ski track was nicely groomed and I was quickly at the top.For walkers without snowshoes the ascent can be quite strenuous due to postholing. In the upper part snow is not windblown and is deep powder, in the middle part there are already some crusts that mostly hold. But surely tomorrow due to mass visit it will be all different.Lp

PFranci, that was nice, the pictures say it, and you even zigzagged on the slope on fresh snow. That was pleasure for you, real gain. For us joy to satisfy mountain desires a bit. Best regards!

I'm interested if anyone has been to Viševnik recently and what the conditions are like or if it's possible without crampons? Thanks for answers

In current conditions you can't really go around without crampons.

I think when sinking up to your ass snowshoes come more into play than crampons. Good luck.
