the guys are right about using letters. This writing is really annoying because we're used to lowercase.
now the answer
The via ferrata in Lavamünd is incomparable to Eiserne Kapelle. My friend says: whoever climbs the via ferrata in Lavamünd up and down without using steps is ready for extreme via ferratas too.
I tried (but didn't quite succeed). Maybe I would have if there really were no steps and I was forced to do it.
It's hard to judge based on 20x climbed in Lavamünd that now you're ready for Kapla.
It's really demanding and almost entirely similar to the upper end (you know around the peg!!). Try Cjajnik first and you'll see where you stand? (that's my suggestion)

Geppo thanks for the reply. I have another question because this via ferrata really won't let me rest and I can hardly wait to climb it. Today I climbed the via ferrata in Lavamünd 4 more times on your advice without help of steps and it didn't cause me any problems.
But I'm still a bit skeptical when I read various forums that it's an extremely difficult via ferrata, although after looking at photos the Cjajnik via ferrata looks more difficult??!!
How about equipment - is a via ferrata set with helmet and gloves enough or do I need additional equipment - rope, sling,...??? Any more advice if not too much trouble. Thanksconfused

The via ferrata at Cjajnik is incomparably easier than Turkenkopf. Cjajnik is a whole grade easier. There are few hard sections and they are spaced enough to rest. At Turkenkopf it's quite constantly high difficulty with few resting spots.

I highly recommend a sling, it made the hardest part much easier for me to the point that I almost slid down the cable instead of pulling with my arms.

I climbed Cjajnik up and down without a sling, but in Kapla I wouldn't have reached the top without it. I used the short one on the via ferrata set and also an 80cm daisy chain where the set was too short.
At the end of the slings then "nutkey" karabiners.
And as Bojan already mentioned. Cjajnik didn't tire me too much, Kapla really exhausted me (I weigh 108kg)

Well, we finally gathered courage and climbed the via ferrata in Železna Kapla. I have to admit it's really a demanding one. Tomaz and I are both well fit both condition-wise and physically, but at the end of the via ferrata we were quite exhausted. Everyone heading to Kapla, definitely take a sling because it really eases climbing, especially at the end when arms don't work as they should anymore. Kapla is behind us, now on to new challenges: Maltatal, Königjodler,...big
Anyone have experiences, suggestions,... comparison of difficulty with Kapla???

This morning there was the opening of the secured hiking path in Vinska Gora.
After the opening program of the local mountaineering society (PD Vinska Gora) the path was opened.
Height is approx. 70m and without steps and pegs. After climbing it I can say it's nicely done, not forced into the wall. In the middle of the wall there's a box with a logbook. It worked my arm muscles a bit, which will need training for the coming season.
I was enthusiastic and happily drank the beer that we visitors could pour ourselves from the tap. There was also a varied culinary offer.
Still, I would recommend to those facing such difficulty for the first time to test their abilities first on the via ferrata in Lawamünd/Labod.

PD Vinska Gora asks that visitors of this path park at the parking lot by the church (approx. 10min away) and not drive directly near the wall thus not disturbing the residents living right next to the wall.

Yesterday I went through the via ferrata again.
Unfortunately an accident happened in front of me and the climber slipped due to loss of strength in arms. The via ferrata set saved him from the worst and it ended with an injury (bruise) to the left arm.
Prepared for the via ferrata and with extra strength in arms!!!
Start of the wall and visible (partial) injury of the climber on the left arm1
Key section at the beginning of the ferrata. 3 anchors below this the climber slipped.2

I agree that arm strength can sometimes be crucial, but we shouldn't neglect leg strength either if we're going to climb the via ferrata in Gonžarjeva peč. I climbed it yesterday, but without strong encouragement from my friend it wouldn't have worked. At that section where the climber slipped, I also had some trouble, but I was lucky there was a climber behind me who helped me rest a bit, then it went without problem.
Congratulations to all involved in making this via ferrata, as the route and difficulty are perfectly graded and considering the wonderful nature around, it would really be a shame not to try it.
But as I said, without encouragement I would have missed the wonderful feelings when you reach the top where a bench awaits tired climbers and offers a beautiful view of the landscape. Lots of enjoyment to all others who will tackle Gonžarjeva peč.

Congratulations (npavli7) for the honest review and climbed ferrata!
I think many will miss out on these pleasures when they come unprepared here. The climber who unfortunately slipped openly admitted afterwards that he didn't expect this difficulty and that he didn't prepare enough, or physically.
He postponed the repeat date by a few months. I sincerely wish him that he'll succeed without issues next time!
Cheers

klm -probably not a problem with kg if you're thinking of that fallen one. I have 107 myself and climbed it today in 15 minutesvelik nasmeh

Now more seriously. To all who go into this ferrata but are at odds with squats and similar activities for good physical condition, I warmly advise against it. But if you know how to climb on friction too it's definitely welcome, and if you self-belay and don't look for holds on the wall it's quite painful for the hands. Otherwise really nice learning or training polygon and all praise to PD Vinski gori for excellent work.

For some time now I've been setting off to discover ferratas despite so many forumers spitting on ironing the mountains. I'm also turned to green myself, but in my opinion ferratas don't harm at all or are even useful. I have no desire for classic climbing, especially since I'm a soloist, and I don't feel like carrying ropes around and kilos of extra gear. Ferrata is the ideal combination of freedom, adrenaline and strength test.

The news of the "school" ferrata opening was welcome and I went to check it yesterday too, well, just in case I had gear with me if tempted,... and I was. The ferrata met my expectations, surprised even at the beginning, today proudly with sore hands I look at yesterday's achievement.

Don't get mad at the word "ferrata", secured mountain path is a bit too long to write,...ZPP is incomprehensible,.. above written is understood everywhere (like CD or TV..)

Bravo "authors" for good preparation and continued successful work. To ferrata climbers: brains in head, gear in hands and happily to new victories... enjoy nature, even on stairs. nasmeh

In the new Planinski vestnik the monthly topic on ferratas at home and abroad is thoroughly covered, including presentation of the new Gonžarjeva peč - whoever is interested. The magazine cover is crazy to look ateek

If it's a nice day, the pictures are nice too nasmeh No, haven't been there yet, was in Turkenkopf, interested in Königsjodler though. But Gonžarjevo is worth trying too, it really tightens your arms and pumps adrenaline through your veins... Cheers and safe steps!

Lawamünd/Labot can't be compared at all to this one in Vinska. But it's some basis for starting and as Mijo says: climb Lawamünd without using brackets for training.
I usually take everyone first to Lawamünd and then see if ready for more demanding ferratas.
Gonžarjeva peč is too hard for beginners. I've sharpened my opinion a bit on whom I'll take through. The fall I witnessed shook me a bit. And that you can't help at all from below.
Cheers it's really as predecessors wrote - tightens your arms!
