Trupejevo poldne

Yesterday was at Trupejevo poldne. Gaz is made. Nice day, met two hikers. Nice and interesting path. Only at the beginning of the path (Srednja vas), because the signpost directs to the path says 2 hours (which for a normal hiker is not real time, more accurate would be 3 hours). Nice greeting.

There isn't really much new snow, but on some sections it is quite windblown.

After Mali and Velika Mojstrovka I also went to Trupejevo poldne, good gaz, but time really not real, norm 300 vert m./h, does over 900 vert meters.

Trupejevo poldne offered a nice winter ascent today, nice views of Julijce, Karavanke and Austrian mountains above the foggy sea. The path is trodden to the saddle between Trupejevo poldne and Lepi vrh; from there fresh tracks, which stopped below the summit. On this part the snow was hard. I overtook one hiker, who also turned back below the summit.

Was up yesterday afternoon, very little trodden and no track/trail for skiing, how is that possible as usually.... ;-) snow still quite enough and some exposed "meringes" on ridge, day was "gorgeous". velik nasmeh

Yesterday I got only to the meadow above Lovska koča, further sinking to waist, snow heavy and wet. eek

Need to wait for better conditions... nasmeh

Today did tour Srednji vrh - Jerman - Blekova planina - Trupejevo poldne - Železnica - Jerman - Srednji vrh. Conditions excellent, path fine, snow on descent from saddle under TP just a trace.

Path walked from Blekova planina towards TP

Yesterday I did the tour Srednji vrh - Železnica - Trupejevo poldne - Blekova planina - Srednji vrh. Nice tour, but very few visitors...

Today I was at Trupejevo poldne. Nice as usual, beautiful views. New on the summit is a new cross.

... Most beautiful Karawanks corners....Kresišče, Maloško poldne - Ostra peč, Trupejevo poldne, Blekova planina. Nice but a bit strenuous is this ridge path in this heat. nasmeh

Yesterday we treated ourselves to ridge strolling "in gold" above Srednji vrh. We went like this: Srednji vrh - over Grajšca to Kresišče - past Maloško poldne to Trupejevo poldne – Blekova planina – Srednji vrh.

All the time dry and snowy path sections alternated. In shady places snow stayed frozen, otherwise melting fast and by weekend probably (almost) all dry nasmeh

When the first sun rays illuminated the slopes above Srednji vrh...

Views seen countless times, but they enchant again and again...

Beautiful contrasts: yellow gold on a white background...

Traffic in all directions (obviously happened early in the morning)... we didn't meet anyone on four legs...

As if someone had outlined the peaks of the ridges and crests with gold paint...

Where the path is bare, it is thickly strewn with golden needles...

View across the golden slopes towards the eastern part of the Karawanks...

...and view back... to where we came from and even further...

Further along the beautiful border path...

...with a view of Vošca and all the way to the Carnic Alps...

I'd say it's most beautiful here in autumn....

But it's true... teloh blooms in the second half of October...

Blekova planina... here we turned back...

...and in the village concluded a beautiful autumn loop... :-)

On Saturday I went from Gozd - Martuljek to Blekova planina, then along Znoternica ridge to Trupejevo poldne. On descent I climbed also Bele peči (Lepi vrh on maps), met Majda there (nice to chat a bit), then down Žlebnica valley to hunters hut behind Lepi vrh. Then some road walking to Srednji Vrh, met Majda again who gave me ride to valley where car parked (thanks for ride).
