I read with interest the article on the 60th anniversary of the Slovenian Mountain Trail. But some inaccuracies bothered me, which I'd like to highlight, namely they write:
- SLOVENIAN MOUNTAIN TRAIL IN NUMBERS:
Opened on 1 August 1953, had 80 points.
Initiator and mastermind: Ivan Šumljak.
Number of points: today 75 control points since 2011 (2003-2011: 71 control points, 1993-2003: 69 points (in 2001 one point changed), before 1993: 80 control points).
I'd add that SPP before 1958 only ran to Postojna (stamp at PD secretary) and there were fewer CT.
- climb to 23 wonderful peaks,
There are considerably more (on "Po robu" path at least 5).
- accompanied on entire SPP by red-white Knafelc marking with number 1.
Not true, since markings on several sections, e.g. between Podkraj and Abram, are not traceable, on Senožeče - Vremščica section no number 1....
So far around 9500 hikers have successfully walked the Slovenian Mountain Trail, to whom exactly as many badges have been awarded. In PZS records as first recipients of honorary badge for walked trail listed: Pregrad Pašič, Beograd (1958), Dušan Starčevič, Beograd (1958), Lojze Hafner, Ljubljana (1958), Marjan Ribarič, Ljubljana (1958), Ema Trbovšek, Ljubljana (1960), Franc Bračko, Hoče (1965), Stanka and Tome Demšič, Hoče (1965).
Not true, as records list the following:
1. Predrag Pašić, Beograd
2. Franc Šolar, Koper
3. Borut Juvanc, Maribor
4. Drago Glogovšek, Maribor
5. Norbert Voj, Maribor
6. Margetič Rudi, Celje
7. Jovan Marković, Sokolov Kamen
8. Slobodan Stanišič, Sokolov Kamen
9. Tomislav Savić, Sokolov Kamen
10. Ivanka Mohorič, Kranj
