Loni forgot to mention that she runs past Šentiljsko casually like that - why bother with walking ...

The current running record of the 56 km long Šentiljska path is 7 hours and 17 minutes in gross time and is owned by Jani Marn... Personally, I walked it entirely in one go in 2009. It is a varied path that runs along the entire route between altitudes min. 240 meters - max. 425 meters. Countless slopes & hillocks up and down... mark this path... Loni goes on the hiking variant every year on principle, because she runs enough already in the other days of the year. She could run it, but there's no point in that. The point is to have fun, chat a lot, stop at everyone who has 5 minutes for a chat. Enjoy 100 per hour. Regardless of the weather, in 2010 it snowed us in pretty badly, so we had to trudge through it. No big deal.

I see you've jumped from the Slovenian Mountain Trail to the Šentilj Trail, personally that makes me happy, since I'm responsible for the creation of ŠP, if anyone wants to know more about this trail feel free to ask, but it would make sense to open a new topic then. Best regards!

I'm curious where the route of the Šentilj Trail will be repaired or partially changed? Regards bruny

Most of the trail is already newly marked, major changes: - Hunting lodge LD Velka, past Medhans farm, crossing main road and up to Velka (this section now slightly shorter), - Rajšp farm to main road, some way along it then descent to valley to previous trail (to Šomat), - Srebotje instead of along stream one junction earlier up asphalt road, then atop Zg.Jakobski dol join old trail (this section now slightly longer). I think no problem following marks. rgds

After reading, there won't be those points along the trail from the first bullet anymore!?:

Exactly so, unfortunately fields almost to the stream, so path no longer passable, paths along main road Trate - Lenart we avoided.

Too bad, that part of the trail is interesting but trudging through the field if plowing to the edge has no sense either... On second and third bullet I know roughly what's what... Yeah, after a good two years back on this trail... Personally on whole trail only section to Sirk farm somehow got on my nerves mainly due to electric fence tangle. Once one properly shocked me and clearly the combo of wet sneakers, sweaty hands and trekking poles didn't suit it. Šentilj Trail [is an] interesting glimpse into Slovenian Hills world [and] deserves own spot on Hribi.net for sure... Runners took it great on Running Forum and debate there up to 61 pages... Yeah well true, gotta start planning the 2012 expedition slowly. Got a bit nostalgic looking at our pics on TF. Based on dates and weekdays probably go 5.2.

Definitely, the purpose of the Slovenian Mountain Trail is discovering our little Slovenia . And that's right . I must say that over the years it has changed several times, as @meuspax said. I did it plenty with the local PD, OŠ PD, parents and relatives in elementary school years, but gave up on mountains and trips in teen years . And so I forgot the SPP logbook. I have several of them at home now, interesting to see what they added and subtracted . If you ask me, it could expand much more. It's true there are many such trails, so buy a sea of logbooks, visit local hills and demanding peaks . Recently ordered Jezerska, Bohinjska, Kamniška and Loška mountain trail logbooks, Peaks around Kriške pode, Storžič Traverse and Kranjski vrhovi booklet. Discover many hidden spots unknown to SPP . Recommend.

Hi katty, can you tell where you ordered those logbooks and how much they cost? Especially interested in Loška and Bohinjska mountain trail. Otherwise this year finished Loška bike trail (after 8 years ) and Ratitovec circuit. Adds a bit of variety to everything, and visit some peak that you otherwise wouldn't.

@ GregorC, you've got ZS. Yeah as I say, it's good cuz you discover some hidden stuff . And usually on such peaks there's no rush or anyone at all, and it's really fine and super if you're alone and can enjoy undisturbed .

Well I only started going to hills a bit last April Then a colleague at the 2nd station of Zlatorog's transversal last year in Vrhnika mid-May convinced me to buy the SPP booklet I anyway like to try a lot, so I gave those 2 euros. Consequence 21.5.2011 visit to Kriška gora and my first stamp. Meanwhile I started climbing via ferratas and currently I'm at number 57 out of 107. Well, in this time I visited quite a few hills without that stamp, so I'm not obsessed only with that. But the goal for 2012 is 107 stamps. I think the feeling will be really magnificent, like for my predecessors )) For me it's also interesting to discover Slovenia. Corners that I otherwise never would. Just getting to the trailhead is often interesting.
