Can someone please advise what self-belay kit I should get, since I'm buying my first one. And some links on how to use it properly

Any self-belay kit they sell in specialist shops is fine. Best to visit a shop or two and try some kits. The one you feel best in is the best for you. Important to get the right size. Something about using the kit you can read here:

I'd advise you similarly. If you have some maillons or know someone who can give them to you buy preferably in Kibuba because you'll come cheaper through and get better stuff than in this kit. I have kind of a rule that what's in the kit might have a bit lower quality. Of course not necessarily but reason to inquire more. Quite affordable and excellent in my opinion is climbing harness Petzl Corax which is fully adjustable. Regarding helmet hard to say I have Black Diamond Half Dome which all shops have and it's quite affordable. Suits me. SVK also check prices a bit. I have idea to make it myself because I make it for more than half price cheaper and nothing missing. I doubt also if you're not quite incompetent or you're somewhat athlete and physically able that you won't fall so deep to need absorption. Absolutely recommend SVK so no one hangs immediately on this opinion, I use it too but out of interest would make myself and try how it goes. Biggest advantage of bought one is in my opinion that it has elastic ropes nicely shortened so not everything hangs around. So if conclude I think you can get all 3 things for approx 120 EUR if you have 60 maillons. And I don't want to do any advertising! Just my opinion

You can even make such a one with brake yourself. Of course you need a bit more knotting and also brake plate, so at the end it's not even 2x cheaper than the cheapest on market. Otherwise I'm more fan of such SVK that have brake plate than those where absorber tears. Essential difference is that one with brake plate is for multiple use. Because if you use that where brake tears and fall somewhere mid ferrata and have 100m below and above you, normally you shouldn't continue at all (not forward not back) because no longer protected. Well I got it last year in Kibuba for 48€ with maillons (base price 60€), see now it's really not in offer. Hope temporary. For helmet cheapest is totally good - Camp Rockstar. In some actions you get for 30€ or even less, base price around 40€. Maybe doesn't look so nice as some newer, but (checked) very tough. For harness mainly look that it fits you and comfortable, basically all on market are fine. Somewhere for 120-130€ possible to get whole kit, if some bigger actions even less.

Look a bit at some Hervis and similar. I managed to have them accidentally sell the helmet from the kit separately and then arranged for the harness and lanyard for 65 EUR. Not many chances for that though.

Thanks for all answers. After consideration of how much I'll use SVK and some advice from the seller I bought this kit. If sometime a need for better and higher-quality gear appears, then I'll buy it then.

All products tested CE or UIAA are reliable and suitable for use. Camp kit (http://www.iglusport.si/trgovina/akcija/set-ferrata-vortex-rewind-light/) is perfectly ok, only maybe harness you can change if you'll use it for climbing sometime. If you'll walk ferratas get also some "belly cord" (sling and HMS carabiner) for resting/photographing.

Svetilnik, if you use a wire-gate carabiner (carabiner with wire gate) for ferrata climbing, take a larger one, e.g. Petzl William, because it has a large gate so you won't have problems if you want to clip it into a thicker cable or hanger.
