If you ride to Vogel, the ticket is 20 euros for adults. Apparently it was 10 euros last year.

Today I went from Zaverzelna towards Rombon. Snow starts a bit above pl. Goričica. Lots of snow, at the notch and in the gully 70 cm. Turned at the notch, as the summit was in fog, progress quite laborious. In these conditions I think from notch to summit would take another hour and a half. And some snapshots...

Uhhh it's really snowed in, I thought about going up too but to the top it looks really packed with snow, pic 3 is top-notch, wonderful from Čukle to Rombon, beautiful to see Rombon in snow after a long time.

Yesterday again on this path. Conditions quite different than last time. Snow is hard, sinks rarely. Gully partially iced, exit due to holes quite demanding. From notch to summit then just a walk. At summit at ten. At that time well frozen. Sun was burning well, in a couple hours conditions can be totally different, maybe can ski something down.

Yesterday with partner on Rombon via path from Kluž. Weather was fantastic. We met only one hiker who said he met two more. No crowds. Trail from saddle onwards (where small scramble) is less visible but well marked. Below summit three snow patches which could be bypassed no problem on upper side. Summit snow up to 2-3 meters. For now no winter gear needed for this path. For now!!!
Gully from saddle on path to Bovec via Čukla still heavily snowed in. No go without winter gear here.
On return quick jump to point 1313 and short look at Fort Hermann fortress below.
Another wonderful day in our beautiful mountains.nasmehnasmeh

Today on Rombon from the Kluž direction, at the saddle the path from the Bovec direction is visible but still impassable.
Markings in the forest are poor, quite a few trees with blazes are moss-covered, but it's hard to get lost because the path direction is only one.
One part from the saddle requires climbing, which will be too risky for some when wet, but 20m lower there's an unmarked but easier ascent over rocks to the last part of the path to the summit.
It would be necessary to install pegs or a wire!!
To the summit there are still quite a few patches, those with courage can try to bypass them, I suddenly found myself at the edge of an abyss and stopped looking for dry paths. High chance of missing the path on descent from the summit, the well-trodden unmarked path turns down before the ridge and ends in bushes full of snow.
The weather is still super for now, you can hold out in the sun until 11 o'clock, and the snow will probably be gone by June.

Rombon (Veliki vrh) 14.7.2020
Morning coffee on bench at Planina Krnice. After breakfast and coffee up behind bench. Milan finds mulatiera and wonderful traverse begins. Old military path has few visitors and vegetation overgrows it somewhat. Under feet steep grass, sheer walls, gullies, below Bovec basin. In forest mulatiera stands out again, wonderfully preserved after 100 years. Hidden cave in wall and beautiful mixed forest. After cca. 3h walking to hunting hut at Planina Goričica. First markings today.
Ascent begins amid numerous war remains. Check all caves along way. Time flies, our goal Rombon summit still far. At times whole ridge in fog. Finally step on summit. Sun, fog and two visitors besides us.
Don't linger long as much walking ahead. Descent (ŽIČNICA) no path marker visit for years. Markings faded and barely visible. Here and there a cairn, we made some too. No special problems, occasionally studied where?
Path picturesque, variedcoolcool
Cross below Černelske Špice. After saddle descent begins. Path back to Planina Krnice unmarked but well visible and equipped with cairns, back to start after cca. 11h without issues.
Beer on bench, pack gear and home.
Nicely spent two days with lots of walking and climbing

We didn't go past Čukla. But the guy on the summit complained about the scree and said he'd return via another way.

On Friday with a friend on the path D station - Hudi vršič - Vrh Ribežnov - Rombon - Čukla - Bovec.
Up to the junction below Vrh Ribežnov the path is newly marked, further to Rombon summit very poorly visible. To Hudi vršič by feel up and down, if you hit the passages well no big issues. Descent from Rombon summit to Bovec quite longjezik.
