On Saturday my colleague and I headed to Rombon. We started in Kljuže at 5:20 and reached the top in under 4 hours. The path is well marked, no special features except big elevation gain which requires decent fitness. Don't forget water as the heat these days is quite high especially if not really early.

I'm interested how far is point 1313 from the path and if then possible to continue towards the top or need to return to marked path? Thanks.

To the viewpoint with logbook step left on the path and return same way back to path to Rombon. Of course shortcuts always possible.

And how much time does it take, 5, 10 min, half hour? Thanks.

Hi, maybe someone knows about ascent possibilities to Rombon in winter? Planning a trip for this weekend, but nowhere to find any info. Thanks in advance!

Possible from several directions, namely from Kanin ski slope, from B cable car station, from "basin" in Zavrzelno and from Kluž; for alpinists also from Možnica. Snow starts around 1300 m, need proper gear for winter ascents. Camera: http://www.hribi.net/spletna_kamera/rombon/1467

As far as I know, the access to point 1313 is very poorly marked, or not at all! Why isn't this fixed? On Rombon in snow it's not right to walk alone (abysses, pits), especially on the path from Kluž...

At the fortress there is marking, right before the point there is also an arrow, up to there leads, I think, only one path that is marked for Rombon.

The path from Kluž to Rombon is exemplarily marked along its entire length, of course in winter markings aren't visible in many places, so one needs to know the summer path as well as winter passages. Given the current weather, strong wind in the high mountains and snow drifts, I strongly doubt anyone would head up in such conditions, as they would risk a lot.

Bravo Igor! Really, anyone seeking trouble and setting off from Kluž to Rombon at this time would be very foolish. The post on Miri's picture is next to the upper fortress in Klužah, junction to point 1313 - arrow though I didn't notice... Maybe I overlooked it, perhaps also at junction placed post with arrow?

On Friday to Rombon from Kluž. The path is mostly dry, only in the upper part there are still some snow patches that can be bypassed, and the snow is windblown so it presents no real problems. But it was loooong.

Hi. Has anyone maybe recently done a circular tour Kanin-Rombon-Bovec or reverse? I'm interested in snow conditions at key spots: Gully before paths from Bovec or Kluž join; Exposed part under summit from Kanin direction Thanks for possible answer and lots of mountaineering pleasures.

Given that I'm the one on the picture, authorship is shared, right?

Yesterday we were on Rombon from Kanin. The tour [was] long with lots of rocky terrain, beautiful views, not too hot. On the way back to Bovec. We walked a total of 9 hours. At the end it was quite strenuous. Otherwise I don't regret it. Nice day
