Yeah, these are old paths, probably also possible that before the first, for groups of soldiers they used mules, otherwise in winter time when carrying hand weapons and other stuff needed for survival

I think they carried ammo and wood, and such things by hand to the top

Thanks to both. Yeah, today it's hard to imagine how tough it was back then with that time's equipment...

Yeah, I also can hardly imagine it, and lightning killed a couple of soldiers when from Kluž up the iron stairs they carried load, then even on the path Italian artillery didn't rest, but nature won,

The slaughter ended and nature overgrew all traces, only remnants defy time

What are the snow conditions like on Rombon / to Rombon, from Kluž or from Zavrzelno? Thanks for answers.

I'm interested in what the conditions are like now on the path to Kote 1313 from Kluž.

Actually we planned to reach Planina Pecol, but yesterday 19.07. at Rabeljsko jezero we ran into a complete road closure towards Sella Nevei . So we descended via Predel to Kluž, where we left the car and headed to Rombon. The newly marked trail to Rombon starts through a tunnel, where we lit our way with a light (on the return lights shine inside). Almost half the trail goes through the forest, so there are no special views. A few meters below Kote 1313 there is a nice viewpoint to Loška Koritnica, at Kote 1313 towards Bovec. Above 1500m finally out of the forest, but again no views as fogs kept rolling . Towards the summit even worse. The trail passes many ruins of the 1st World War. But it is well marked and there were no orientation problems even in the fog. Some 250 m below the summit there is a small rock step, which is not too demanding and short. The summit revealed itself to us only once, then we waited on the top for a good two hours. Well, who waits obtains; the fogs started to thin, neighboring peaks cleared and finally it completely cleared up . Back on the same trail, where we took quite a few photos. The trail is long. Usually we don't measure time but yesterday together with the visit to Fort Herman and Kote 1313 we needed almost 5 hours. Well, when you get home you always realize that it was worth it . Pictures:

Hi, you had quite bad weather, but up there the weather is so changeable continuously; it's really nice in sunny weather when peaks and surroundings reveal themselves where you have lots to see.

Nice that the marks are still visible although it's already several years since I marked.
