Has anyone been to Storžič in the last week?
I'm interested in the conditions especially on easier paths, mainly the amount of snow and if an ice axe is needed.

On Storžič in winter no path is easy, wait till the weekend until a track from Kališče is made, ice axe is mandatory.

I have crampons but no ice axe. I'll rather avoid Storžič in winter for now, because I simply have no experience with ice axe use and wouldn't want to learn on such a trip.

Lunatixz, you hit the winter track pretty well. We followed it without major issues.

The gaz was nicely routed, the sooner back to the ridge the better. Down in Mače you can't drive higher by car, since someone flew into the edge with a car.

Yesterday on Storžič from Povlje via planina Javornik and SW gully to summit.
Conditions good tomorrow, snow held nicely.
Exit about 200m left of summit on Psice ridge (missed correct exit direction). So more adrenaline 
Few visitors, from one o'clock strong collapses started...

Start at 06:00 from Povelj via planina Javornik and gully to summit. Snow starts right at gully entrance above planina Javornik - morning all very hard - ice crusts are small however - ankles suffer. All winter gear needed. On descent from summit at 9:00 gully still very hard - snow doesn't sink in, thaws probably around 10.

Any fresh info from Storžič? From Ljubljana it looks like snow is almost gone? How passable is the path past Kalisca? When can we expect the path through Žrelo snow-free?
