This path is very roundabout with quite a few extra elevation gains. Don't do this to a girl  (unless she is better prepared).
This variant (V ridge) is also technically more demanding than JZ gully.
The variant I took up last week, I see it's not closed at all and it's just a small detour compared to the "proper" one through JZ gully. The snowy part of the gully is the same anyway.

Condition-wise she is well prepared (we needed 4h 45min to Triglav in summer). I would also most preferably go via JZ gully, I was thinking about the current conditions (I don't know if there's anything avalanche-prone over the gully).

Above Bašelj all mountain trails are closed from Friday until further notice due to nesting sites of the rock partridge.
