Slovenian - ignorance or negligence?

Domch, maybe my message came off a bit arrogant, but that wasn't my intent. Regarding path conditions on Uršlja gora... Yesterday morning already strong thaw, downhill on Železarska path literally running in places. If it all freezes solid, passage without crampons very difficult. Suggest caution! Otherwise summit shrouded in fog, no great views, then heavy rain started. Still very nice though.

Domch, nobody criticizes dialects, but standard Slovenian exists for reasons. One of them is that it's understandable to all, unlike dialects which can be ever so cute but still incomprehensible to many. That's not the purpose of this forum, right?

Domch en lp It would be interesting if you wrote it also in normal Slovenian, then at least we could compare our understanding of Carinthian. Nothing against dialect, just info can be misunderstood. That's not the aim of this forum.

@domch Something like that can only be written by someone for whom following rules of tasteful and good writing is completely foreign,... conscious Carinthian ... now we're playing regional parcelization Well, yes, Urška always pleases me, though I've never been to the top without snow. LP! ps Don't be surprised if someone with such a comment on current conditions triggers an avalanche of other comments.

Tomorrow another go at Ušlo, basically a tour in the style through the mountain home. And to see what the conditions are like from the valley, looks more miserable and stormy compared to Saturday.

Now you're already annoying with this Carinthian! Talk about it in private messages in this thread! Get along already no hard feelings Best, Jure

Great, thanks for the winter idyll pics on Uršljica. Still, the forced dialect use bothers me, even though I understand everything. Have you noticed anyone else on the forum constantly bombarding us with dialect posts? I can't remember any, and I'm a regular reader...

Močerad, don't be so touchy and weirdly standoffish

I really don't care about your reaction, write like that in private messages, or talk in some tavern or mountain hut - and meanwhile you still think you're cool

Jprim, I completely agree with the findings. I have nothing against clumsy speaking, but as Močerad already wrote, it's not welcome everywhere.

Eh, waste of words. You can hardly forbid a child anything, it starts stomping and shouting and insists even more on its own.

How many users still need to tell you that you are extremely tasteless with this dialect rape. Who even cares that you were twice on Uršlja gora in one day. Provide useful info and photos maybe a short trip description! Open your own forum and name it as you like and write as you please, maybe you'll even get a member! Best, Jure

Given that I'm apparently the only supporter of occasional!!! use of dialects, I'd just add this: Carinthian dialect belongs to Uršlja gora just as much as her photos or descriptions of her paths in flawless Slovenian! I, when I go to some more "exotic" place for me, go there also because of the locals and their "twisting". Like it's a pleasure for me to chat with some guy from Cerkno when I go skiing there etc. These descriptions by domcha and hribovc are actually a positive inspiration for me to go to UG myself again in summer! Hope I'll have more luck than when I went to Peca and met only Styrians. (no offense, Styrians) Understandability really shouldn't be a problem. A normally well-read Slovene should understand 80% of Carinthian words, considering context 95%.
