Mrzla gora

Hi "pretty"
I don't like to polemicize, but still. Full praise to all who help in one way or another for the care of all heading to the mountains of our beautiful country. Among them certainly are people who often risk their own lives due to human recklessness, ignorance, overestimation of their abilities!
The circumstances under which use of freight cableway for people transport is allowed are written in the official gazette of RS;
Official Gazette RS, No. 126/2003
dated 18.12.2003.
It's possible something was happening at Okrešelj that day regarding maintenance, but that doesn't outweigh the fact that the person literally lays down in the basket and speeds to the valley at full speed, while hinting at doing maintenance, inspection or similar. God forbid such inspectors work on our ski slopes or other facilities.velik nasmeh
With respect and greetings. Lp Jmežikanje

I'm curious how much snow is left on Veliki vrh on Dleskovska plateau for climbing unbolted routes. Apparently there are quite a few.
Thanks for info

At this altitude in KSA before today's rain there was cca. 30cm snow. Somewhere a bit more, somewhere less (drifted/blown). You'll have to wait for info after the rain, because in the next days everything will be different...

Once again I'm interested if anyone has info on how much snow is still right below Veliki Dleskovški vrh in Kamnik Alps. Is climbing possible on the south side where there are unbolted alpine routes. Thanks to anyone who writes something about it.

Check the descriptions under Mala Ojstrica. Maybe yesterday's pics tell you more.

I'm interested in how the ascent to Mrzla gora is now in winter time and which route you recommend (from Matkov kot or from the waterfall)?
Thanks..

Winter ascent to Mrzla gora is an alpinistic ascent!
I'm not aware of approaches via summer protected paths. Usually approached via one of the winter gullies - most often probably the west route or central gully. Described in the climbing guide Logarska dolina, Matkov kot, Peči. Central gully is easiest when there is lots of snow and initial drop is well filled.

Summer tour:
Nice tour from Logarska dolina start, first to Mrzla gora, descent via direct ascent to Rinka via protected path, then Turska gora-Brana-Kamniško sedlo and down to Logarska dolina, maybe skip Brana.

Marky! If you'd checked a few pages back, you'd see that J.Trogar did a winter approach to Mrzla gora. I suggest contacting him via ZS.
LG, as always out of context!

Garmont, thanks for the tip, but winter alpinistic ascents don't interest me at the moment.. maybe some other time nasmeh
I know that e.g. Mrzla gora is already in summer pretty hard to access, due to loose pegs, crumbling rocks, etc... I just thought maybe it's better in winter nasmeh but I see I completely missed it.. hehe nasmeh
Thanks anyway..

Today's nice morning I used to visit Mrzla gora. I started the tour this morning at 6 a.m. from the parking lot below Rinka. For the approach I chose the marked path from Okrešelj, because this side of the mountain is most away from the sun rays in the morning. Still, two traverses were already soft and sunlit. On the return, the lower traverse toward the path from Savinjsko sedlo was sinking quite a bit.
During the ascent, hard snow or ice and dry rocks kept alternating. Also some powdery snow on the other side. Most tedious was scraping with crampons all the time on such mixed terrain. But the weather was wonderful, just occasional strong wind on exposed spots and stronger toward the summit.
Not much snow actually, but can't avoid it yet. Latvica is still nicely covered.
Savinjsko sedlo was very visited today! Quite a few in Turski žleb too.
Best to all!
