This is a shepherd hut. In summer they graze up here.

Old hut has new clothes. Old one hides inside. New clothes (walls) are about half meter away from the old hut. Such renovation method I've seen in our hills and it's practical too.

With Tina we treated ourselves to a nice trip today. First we drove to Podvolovljek and calmly viewed the very beautiful Repov waterfall, then to Črnivec and from there headed to Kranjska ridge. The lower part of the path is well overgrown, full of ferns, raspberries as if someone planted them and lots of rowanberries. At the top autumnal, in between foggy, humid, magical. The shower at the start created a tropical atmosphere. As if being at the other end of the world.

The only higher one visible is Veliki vrh (Veža)

Over Lepenatko and Veliki Rogatec to Komna and Smrekovec

Yes as ejti wrote. From Kranjska side the turnoff right a bit after the mill, from Savinjska left before the mill. You can park right after turning from the road. I didn't find it on the map, but the trip is described in the KSA guide. On the newer map version Repov waterfall is marked with a blue dot, nothing written next to it. But on the map I noticed that Kranjska reber is not Kašni vrh and corrected my entry, as Kašni vrh is the lower northern neighbor of the ridge. Regards

Sawmill. Starting point for the waterfall can be here or approx. 200 m lower.

Repov waterfall is definitely worth a visit.

Interesting, a while ago we read how he's training for admission to the Faculty of Sports, then about how she was among the best, now to Primorska? Son didn't meet the norm for Kilimanjaro, daughter couldn't handle the first year of Faculty of Sports? At least it reads like the Auersperger family diary on these pages. Yesterday 13.12. from Črnivec to the top of Kašna planina. Nice escape from the foggy valley. Up there there's snow, say somewhere between 25 and 30cm. Some more pics...
