Dear Slovenes! Do we have any pride? Obviously not. Just to share costs. If you can't afford a guide, then don't go. Because with us everything is possible without guides, everything is cheap. Abroad it's different. If you go to the mountains because you love them, you don't look for discounts. If you want to boast about the conquered peak, you look for a discount. Yes, you buy a new car, but do your shopping at Eurospin. Just so they notice you.zavijanje z očmi
A real mountaineer doesn't need this.

A real mountaineer goes bankrupt three times by his 35th year, because he spends so much on expeditions.
He lives in a tent and travels through Himalayan valleys on the back part, with goats.
A real mountaineer doesn't give a cent for comfort and a guide; he comes up with everything on the spot for new plans.

Yeah, you are right. Better to go by bus to Mercator than by car to Eurospincool.

On 24. and 25.6.2017 we headed to Grossglockner. At 05.30 we left from Postojna and just before 10h started from Lucknerhaus, via Lucknerhutte, Studlhutte, to Erzherzog Johann Hutte. We slept there. On Saturday the weather was sunny, hot. Towards evening a front passed us, bringing snow. Despite unpleasant forecast, on Sunday at 6h we headed to the summit, and after a good 3h already back at the hut. Unfortunately, descent to the valley was not possible, as it was snowing heavily and constant lightning strikes were appearing. After a good 3.5h of waiting we finally headed to the valley, as the sun shone again. In general, super tour.

08.07.17 Ascent via Studlgrat
We arrived a bit before five and soon started hiking. There were quite a few parties. On the ridge we change into high boots, mainly because of the cold. The ridge is nice. Summit reached in less than five hours. The ridge is not easy, especially that IV- detail above Frustuckplatz could squeeze someone. Besides snowing, towards the summit sun peeked from the mists too. Descent to Erzherzog Johann Hutte for snack. Used crampons like others, but maybe better without, only on descent. Here changed back to sports sneakers and headed left to ferrata, and descended to valley. Very nice path, maybe even shorter than path over entire Kodnitzkees glacier. Before 2pm already at car.

15.08.17 Second time this year Studlgrat

Weather forecast didn't fail now. Weather was fantastic. On Teischnitzkees glacier quite a lot of holes around which you walk and even over one part. Ridge to summit nice, no specialties. Descent towards Erzherzog Johann Hutte nice to end of gully below Kleiner Klek. Mandatory crampons. Descend via left variant.

This mountain is quite trendy this year, so I decided to visit it too.mežikanje
Three veterans and a young lady go over Koren Saddle (because there was a queue again before Kar. tunnel) and at seven pmvelik nasmeh we park above Kals.(21. 8.) 20 kg rucksack tired me out properly and after less than two hours the lights of Studl hut cheer me up, appearing suddenly. Dinner then bed, but ouch. One guest had his faulty chainsaw turned on, couldn't wake him. After 15 mins I move to the next room, quiet as the grave all night. Breakfast at 6am start, quickly to the glacier where we rope up. Surface strongly frozen, could have gone ropeless comfortably and lost quite some time - but rules were followedvelik nasmeh Week-old snow not melted yet, so rocks above glacier half snow-covered, most hikers continued with crampons. Before hut over 3500m some hikers already hanging around. We don't linger long, last toughest part of the path waiting. Crampons on again, use them on upper rocky part too because ice in places. Whole day sunny, our mountain not in fog even for a moment, mist appeared in smaller quantity far around us. Descent slowed considerably by excessive roping of some parties. Stanchions in upper part and cables in lower part impeccable, glacier one big swamp from strong sun. Back via Karavanke, at entry no vehicle aheadzmeden, so at analysis at Botani in Lahovče we applaud Maribor's goal for Champions League qualification.
No map, know Austrian peaks little, some pics no caption or with ? mark.

If I'm not mistaken, the mark on pic 29 indicates the direction of the cargo cableway. For some new helicopter pilot. So he knows where to expect trouble. Because cableway wires are not best visible from the air. Similar marks at Lucknerhütte and elsewhere too.
