JTrogar: I'm interested if it's possible to do a loop on Golte with touring skis. For example up Beli Zajec, to Treh Plotov and down the ski slope to the hotel. Thanks for the reply and best regards.

Definitely possible. Beli Zajec isn't so exposed to wind and has quite some snow. Enough for ascent for sure, for skiing it'll be a bit scratchyvelik nasmeh. That steep part in the second half, probably bare, you can avoid by turning right below it and continuing to Lahovnica and up it to the top of Stari Stanov. Skiing to hotel possible on open pistes Blatnik and Družinska. Snow off-piste is little, almost all blown away. Good to stretch legs and shake rust off edges thoughvelik nasmeh. Maybe new snow tomorrow.velik nasmeh

Last night meteorologists said no sun in lowlands. Morning view towards Golte confirmed that, so off to Boskovec. Fog up to middle of Požganija, or just below 4th cable car pylon. Up top fantastic weather and feelings. This was my 40th ascent of Boskovec this year and each one unique.

Weather was again for the hills today. Up past Kebra, over Požganija and Koprivna Peč, then traversed under Javorca and on to the summit. Down past Okenca and over Golička Loka. Paths dusted with up to 5cm dry snow, higher on some old base, giving the walk a special charm. Would be nice with more, but who isn't happy with little....velik nasmeh Concentration needed when walking though, ice under the powder in places. Met only two chatty lady hikers on the whole tour.
Yes, nice again.

to feel happiness in eyes.
We experience that of course,
if we follow Janez's paths.
You'll gnaw the steepness though,
at top gaze into valley,
which will give new strength,
for overcoming life's paths.

Today I spent some wonderful hours again on the way to Boskovec and back. New snow 10-20cm, in drifted places up to the butt.velik nasmeh I went up my current favorite route over Požganija. At the bench in Požganija I stepped onto the flat too fast and missed watching a herd of chamois on nearby cliffs.velik nasmeh They quickly hid in spruce cover. Below Javorca I had a coffee break in short sleeves at my pause spot. Almost unbelievable you can sunbathe there in short sleeves in this cold, 10m higher even heavily dressed you barely hold out. Below me lots of hikers to Mozirska hut which is more and more visited, on Medvedjak skiers zigzagging on the slope. Then hop to Boskovec and home via Kort.

sling around tower on Boskovec due to collapsing tower danger. Can't climb it for a long time as time has gnawed it well. I miss it as even without going west of Golte I could peek to KSA and Karavanke from it.

New snow and nice weather were enough reason to visit Boskovec yesterday. I took only Ajko with me, as it seemed to me there would be too much snow up there for Thirina's short legs.velik nasmeh To Boskovec via Kebra and over Požganija there was new snow just right for pleasant trampling. Only the crossing under Javorca needed more concentration.velik nasmeh Since yesterday you can also write a nice word for "Pod Javorco" if you find the path there, of course.velik nasmeh On Boskovec there were only tracks of two day-trippers, who I presume came from Konečka planina. But on the return via the hunter's path to Linš, Ajko and I really trampled it deep. In the opposite direction yesterday we probably wouldn't have made it to the top. I trampled it well above the knees, Ajka completely sank into the track. It was reallycool.
