I parked the car at Zg. Goltnik. To Konečka planina there was a track and ski tracks, further groomed by snowmobiles. Conditions for walking and skiing were good, only missing sun. This time solid skiing from Boskovec summit possible.

Yesterday made track to 90% of Boskovec, to Mozirska koča nicely trodden further struggle, snow over knees. Due to wind I doubt the track still exists.

Car left at Zg. Goltnik. Road to Konečka planina and further to Boskovec groomed by snowmobiles, snow holds human weight. On skis and with help of four-legged friends back to car in under 3h. Fog below, just above Konečka planina sun.

Beautiful sunny and warm day really invites to visit Boskovec. Start at lower gondola station and partly my own way, partly on path past Kebra over Požganijo. Track partly filled with windblown snow but tolerable for breaking trail. Anyway today the path was better tracked and will be easier. From Mozirska koča on Severjeva path thickness of untouched snow cover only increases and so does amount of laborious drifts. Often breaking trail to waist up to Rastočka planina and Boskovec summit. To summit my buddy and I spent whole two hours ascending, alternating in trailbreaking. Descent decision not doubtful. Same way as ascent. And it was easier.

Yesterday I headed to Boskovec from Žekovec. Thanks to all who break trail and make paths so that we more "feeble" ones for such feats can get somewhere. Didn't make the summit , turned back earlier, but still very nice.

Today to Boskovec from Žekovec past Kebra and over Požganijo. New snow, dry powder, 15 to 40cm, locally even much more. Walking on it really pleasant, especially if no track anywhere. Old snow mostly doesn't sink.

Yesterday at two it wasn't there yet, but I assume today someone has surely made it. Otherwise you can take it left past Morava around on the road over Izteje, which they groom right away with snowmobiles and only the last 10 min to track.

I took it left on the road past the ski slope to the sign for Smrekovc, then the whole way to Boskovec. It sank to my knees and beyond (true, I'm not the tallest). Then from Boskovec again powder on Severjeva path to Mozirska hut for deserved beer. Then good half hour to the car and home. Nice, morning still sunny day, nice loop trip, soft fluffy snow and tired legs (usually I drag behind).

Thanks Pika for the idea. I used the free day for a nice learning ski hike. The sun spoiled me the whole time. But already all tracked, hut open for my deserved beer too.

Today path to Mozirska koča dry, frozen snow starts above hut, holds and no gaiters needed to top, but will as soon as night temp no longer drops below 0 degrees. Snow on forest path still more than 1 meter.

Today in really nice weather to Boskovec from Žekovec past Segoničnik, via the hunter's path over Požganija and Verbučeva planina, back via Severjeva and over Golička loka. On the ascent snow starts at Verbučeva planina but only in patches. So it is possible to reach the summit almost entirely dry. Back via Severjeva it's a completely different picture. Severjeva is still almost entirely under snow, but the track holds a person's weight. From Mozirska koča downhill everything is dry.

This road comes from Šmihel. Above Šmihel at the second intersection on the road to Golte we turn right and continue on it to Zg. Goltnik where the asphalt ends. Further to Konečka planina it's decent macadam, from there to this renovated shepherd's hut the road is worse. They drive on it too though, even though there's a no-traffic sign for all vehicles before Konečka planina. I use this variant in winter for ski touring. By car to Zg. Goltnik and off on skis. Mountain bikers use it too. It's also quite pleasant for walking.
