Stamps for the mentioned peaks are in the hut at Kofce.

After 5 km of terrible road yesterday early afternoon I arrive at the starting point for Kofce past the Chapel. I check out the chapel on the way then past the hut head further, past the scenic cross up towards the main ridge. I thought of doing a longer traverse from Veliki vrh to Kladivo but calculate it won't make it before dark. So I head towards Kofce gora. The path runs partly on exposed ridge, but at the top fog awaits me again. From there I head to both Kladivos. First Malo Kladivo, there I take a short break and snack, then head to the saddle and tackle Veliko Kladivo. During the path the fog clears here and there so I even get views of Kamnik Alps, Storžič, Dobrča,... Occasionally also to the Austrian side. Well, from Veliko Kladivo no view again, but I confirm the stamp presence on this summit too (upper question of one user). Anyway the book is full. But when I start descending it suddenly clears up properly. I think it's temporary again but it was quite permanent. Good thing, because the path down from Kladivo was a bit harder to follow. From the saddle I don't take the shortcut around Malo Kladivo but climb it again and now enjoy the view to Begunjščica, Stol, Vrtača, Celovec,... and of course Veliki Vrh. For the first time on the way back to Kofce I can see the entire Košuta ridge. On the way down to Kofce had to watch out for wet rocks. The path, which isn't long, dragged on for me. Finally I reach the gentle pastures and the hut. In the hut I drink tea then already in the dark with headlamp to the car.

When you talk about the road, do you mean the road from Jelendol towards planina Pungrat? I also plan to visit Košuta this autumn, but the totally ruined road doesn't tempt me. Lp.

It's the same road (in Jelendol at the intersection left - sign for Kofce, Pungrat, Šija,...). Just that after about three km I turned towards Kofce (sign), towards Pungrat probably continue further. Well, already to that intersection the road was quite torn up. If you don't have a low-clearance car and have reasonably good tires it will go. And of course some skill driving on such terrain.

This road gets worse year by year. However, you can reach planina Pungrat also by another road, from Medvode towards Dolga njiva, then at the first weekend hut to the left... and follow the signs further...

Tinky I don't want to write unnecessarily on the forum. Look top right, you have tabs - private messages written in red color. Please reply.

Can anyone tell how the road from Jelendol to Pungart plain under Kosuta is drivable? Does anyone still choose this starting point? We plan to cross Kosuta ridge from Kladivo to Kosutnikov turn and back lower, any peculiarities on the ridge? Thanks.
