I also headed to Great Draški Peak yesterday . Started at the end of the Pokljuka road at 6:30, went via Konjščica pasture to Jezerce saddle, where the views of the surroundings charmed me. In the valley of course sea of fog , at this altitude already nicely warm—no yeah, I'm still in my jacket. It was lightly windy, so I refuelled quickly and headed on. The path to Studorski pass is partially icy , since it's shady, there are still some snow patches that come in handy, as the snow is frozen and safe to walk on, plus footprints, so no panic . From Studorski pass great view of Bohinj valley and Vogel and lower Bohinj mountains. As mentioned in previous comments, I also miss an info board at this pass . I don't linger too much and head to Great Draški peak. Looking back I spot an older couple heading to Vodnik hut. These were the first living souls I met/spotted on the first part of the trail. The path is quite narrow among the bushes at first , so probably some hikers turn back thinking they missed it or wrong path. I thought so too at first, but from forum info knew I couldn't have missed it . Among the pines I tore my pants again, but nothing stopped me from reaching the top. Knees and muscles work on this part, no doubt . Towards the summit last few 100m mostly grass, which is great. Summit has a stamp, no logbook anymore. Views fantastic, wonderful, insanely beautiful . Little wind, no problem. Triglav right there, same for Little Draški peak, Viševnik, Debela peč and Tosc. Stayed on summit 1.5h, well, gotta use the nice warm weather . Some visitors on Viševnik, also on Little Draški. On return met two friendly older gentlemen from Primorska. From the pass took about 10 steps towards Ablanca, but better turn back—didn't check the path, so no risking . Refuelled at Jezerce again, then via Konjščica to Pokljuka and valley. On Ablanca summit two hikers who were at VDV before. Since they did VDV to Ablanca very fast, can compare them to chamois jumping on rocks today. In summary, crazy, almost kitschy weather, charmed by great views and the peak where I was first time. Pictures follow.
