Yesterday (Saturday, 04.01.2020). At the sports center a warden stopped me and said the road to Konjščica is closed. So I turned toward the ski lift and drove on the icy road to the parking lot about a kilometer further. From there to the marked path a bit on forest tracks, a bit in the forest just a few hundred meters, where the marked path starts there is a cairn that I remembered. Above Konjščica the path is icy in places. At the pond I put on crampons, which basically to Studorski preval were not even necessary. The initial traverse to the ridge was quite southern and trampled, it somewhat reminded me of the first traverse on Mali Triglav. Further conditions were excellent, hard snow without sinking. At the summit around 10 people, two on Ablanca, some on Tosc, a whole crowd on Viševnik. Quite a populated area with excellent views, only the weather somehow wanted to turn sour. Some hikers decided to descend directly down the southeast slope instead of the ridge. It was very hard, they went carefully and therefore quite slowly. I returned to half the ridge, then turned left down the slope to the path from Studorski preval to Konte. It would have been more comfortable with two ice axes on that descent. On the transverse path at the cairn I turned toward the car, but darn, on those few hundred meters I drifted way too far to the right. I quickly determined the right direction only after consulting the navigation . Mighty are those Pokljuka forests!

J. you watched our group, we watched you descending the slope. Conditions for SE slope descent were good - fairly hard snow, which softened slightly in places due to the sun. We were slow due to the inexperience of one in our group but steadily gaining mileage. Safety first.

Yesterday to Great Draški Peak (via Jezerca and Studorski preval) and back towards Kačji rob and Na kontah again to Studorski preval. Winter conditions no longer like that, can go without winter gear. Some snow patches on Na kontah but easy to bypass.

Maybe someone knows if the road on Pokljuka to the starting point for pl. Konjščica is plowed? I'm also interested in the path to Great Draški Peak. How much snow is left, is the path from Studorski preval along the ridge still snowy? Thanks.

From Planina Konjščica, where they no longer make any cheese, we climbed to Studorski preval. Tosc was in fog and we decided for ascent up the western slopes, full of gentians and chamois. No talk of views, as fog was drifting over the Julian Alps. We descended to saddle between Draški peaks and back to Jezerca on unmarked path.

Rudno polje-Jezerca-Great Draški Peak? Has anyone been on this path recently?

I went on Saturday, path without peculiarities, we two went a bit before the pass to the right into the gully where the usual winter passage is, tracks of predecessors. One can also go via the summer path from the pass, a large part of it is bare. That day and also on Sunday the summit was well visited.
