Hello, has anyone been recently on Great Draški Peak? Is there still snow on the path from Pokljuka or Rudno polje?

Can you get by car to the end of the road below pl. Konjščica, or is there a barrier somewhere?

No car driving allowed beyond the parking lot at the barracks.

Today from parking lot below Konjščica to VDV. Parking lot normally accessible.
On descent also to Ablanco.
Autumn... nice. smile

First-hand info on parking below pl. Konjščica and driving ban from Rudno polje on (new no-driving sign posted). Last weekend TNP ranger visited the parking and said this year only warnings, no more parking here, next year 80 eur fines frowning look

I must say I'm a bit confused by the info I read in mountaineering gazettes and on TNP web re parking on Pokljuka.

Lots written that with the introduction of quiet zones all parking directed to paid lots at Rudno polje and accesses to Pl. Javornik, Medvedove konte, Uskovnica, end of Pokljuka road etc CLOSED.

But it's not so. Not clear why communicate A but practice B. Hope future clearer on real strategy for access to plateau trailheads.

To Konjščica or rather the parking below hasn't been allowed since last summer. This weekend best to start in Srednja vas, go to Uskovnica and continue:

Up the upper path to Studorski saddle and along the ridge to Great Draški Peak. All mixed conditions, it was collapsing under predecessors during the day, but not for me, because it was already mostly in shadow.
