Planina Blato-toll

Print
Gorazd G3. 09. 2009 21:55:49
Drive up at 11 pm, sleep in/by the car and you'll surely not pay any toll velik nasmeh
Tried it last time cool
Maybe a fine from TNP, but at night supervisors usually sleep.

Seriously though, it's like this. To me it's more annoying than them charging 10 € for Blato, the incomprehensible charging in the valley that is per hour and you're soon at 10 € if you leave it the whole day - which is usual for real hikers, right? So they punish those who leave the car in the valley. If they want to play ecology and not make profit, let them charge 50 € for Blato, and the parking in the valley be FREE!

I agree with Gorazd, at least parking below the hills should be free. It happened to me that I wanted to walk from the valley to Vogar and Planina Jezero, but I calculated that I'd pay almost as much for parking as for toll, so I drove to Blato.
If you want to drive an invalid to Voje, you depend on the collector's goodwill, otherwise you still have to pay 10 eur.

Just now I also checked how it is with the toll to pl.Blato and parking below. Namely, on ks.Bohinj they passed a decision on collecting parking at the lower parking. They lowered the daily parking from the original 10 eur to 8, to limit overuse of the mountain road to Pl.Blato. Drive to the top probably stays 10 eur. They also claim that the money from parking fees is used for maintenance and expansion of asphalt surfaces at Blato and Vogar. Anyway, if you are early enough before 6 am, you avoid unnecessary payment. After 15 Sep, if memory serves, the wardens withdraw to warm homes.

In Ribčev Laz there is completely free parking (on the meadow), so that those who came to enjoy the natural beauties of the national park won't need to pay a single cent... since we anyway love to drive every day, let's try at least when we have time to leave our icon a bit further from the goal and do something more for our health... sooner or later the mountain roads will be closed because of too many tourists and environmental burden... then it will be a bit harder for those who would like to just take a short walk from the car to the first hut...

Yes, it's true. Today I parked on the parking lot on the right (where there are machines or you park for free if you buy the "Gost Bohinja" card) and they were still charging 10.00 EUR for the road to Voje or Planina Blato. When we went midweek to Triglavska, he just came at 6.00 and we paid.

More or less, we all in Slovenia built roads in the socialism era... The worst is that everyone, really everyone, allows these paid roads to charge high tariffs... Let ecological taxes be charged that are bearable... Obviously some think only the rich go to the mountains... All who think of this forget that part of the money hikers leave in huts for sleep, food, and drink... It will turn on them and then it will be too late, and I wish all such a strong Slovenian [fate] that it happens to them....

Damn misers, if it's hard for you to give 10 euros to Pl. Blato, then stay home in front of the TV. Why go to the mountains if you can stay home, right? Pathetic thinking.

I pretty much agree with Heinz. The road to Pl. Blato is in no way worth that payment. I don't complain about fees myself, but if something exceeds certain established frameworks, then why support the weird Bohinj guild. To the geologist: With ten euros you can make a nice trip at a distance of 100 km, or make a nice family picnic on the grill at home. If we donate it to someone who really needs it, we do the most for our fellow man and ourselves. (In this act, the goddess Lakshmi, who manages the individual's well-being - third energy center (Nabbhi in the stomach area), especially rewards the person, and thus, when he has opened the aspect of kindness - opening the petal of the center (centers like a flower, each petal has the individual's property), sends her power to him. Never support people and things that are adharmic (anti-divine).

Listen, you Viharnik, as long as our bora blows, I'll be Christian, so no goddess tempts me... well, I won't put my hand in the fire velik nasmeh Come on, please write a space after punctuation, then a lot will be easier to read and maybe even digestible. No hard feelings, it's just grammar they taught me in school. nasmeh

How much anger because of the toll, why do you have to go to Planina Blato, is there something for free "foraging" there. You can go to Črno prst, turnoff from the road to Soriško planino. Or to Raduho, by road from Bohinjska Bistrica. Drive to Planina pod Golico, continue to Klek...
Or leave the car at home, take the train or bus and hike from the valley, as we used to once.

Hello!

It is quite right that road use is paid for, but the price could be more symbolic. For 10€ (with paid mountaineering club membership) you can already overnight on common beds.
Yes, these are Gorenjci who like to "bargain" and cashier!nasmeh

On our (western) side of the Alps we are more unspoiled. And much more flexible. In all respects. E.g. on Velika planina I ordered buckwheat porridge with sour milk and since I don't eat meat, I asked for it without cracklings and I got it unseasoned, dry. On "our" side they would give me scraps. It's a small thing and you'll say spoiled people should stay home, but is it really so hard, e.g. if they cooked jota separately and sausage separately and then gave to the one who has meat in jota also sausagezmeden, to the other just jota. Does meat have to float in everything?

Well, sorry, it was about toll, and I went a bit off topic. nasmeh

Jota tastes better if the sausage is cooked in it than if you just dunk it in afterwards.velik nasmeh

10 euros, sweeties, is two kg of good meat or 12 nice cutlets (Styrian) or 24 Bohinj ones. Soon we'll pay entrance to T.N.P., every peak will have its price. Well, Pekrska gorca will have discount only for hribi.net members, geologist who obviously has money..... can contribute a bit more. I personally bring the Šajtra Šodra to the road. Enough joking, how much they cash in for this road one would think you drive at least to Planina pri jezeru by highway, to planina v Lazu the fine Gorenjec carries you on his shoulders. Greetings.

When I read these thoughts and criticisms like this I have the feeling that most people go to the mountains to drive, not to walk... I never have these problems... I never pay anything because I simply walk in the mountains... to be clear, I also drive there, but not too far, because mountains are there to walk and enjoy... you just have to take more time and go from home early in the morning and not sleep through the morning saying "ah, I can at least gain two hours because I drive far with my icon"... sadly completely wrong thinking of the vast majority of driving hikers-tourists...

I don't know why some complicate. If 10 € is too much for you then go elsewhere, there are plenty of other hills. Given how much traffic there is up here I sometimes think they could raise the price a bit. (And I'm not a local) On weekends it's hell on this road by bike or foot.

And answer to m: just like robin says. Sausage is cooked in jota because that gives the real taste!

Hello!

Yes, it's true; there are other mountains, no need for everyone to rush to Gorenjska. And it's generally more ecological if we drive less.

Regarding jota; in real Primorska jota "no piglet has stepped" (sorry for the last wordsmile), they added that elsewhere.

Rober we're not all from Ljubljana or towards Gorenjska, nor all by the highway... If I want to reach Planina Blato by 6 a.m. I have to leave home before 3, which means getting up at 2. And tell me it's not early enough and that I don't take enough time (read sleep). Geolog79 from the above you can gather that fuel costs in our cases are significantly higher than for those nearby, not to mention the tolls we've paid until recently. Is it then strange if there's no pig in the jota?

Given that I'm from under Grintavec and get up between 3 and 4 a.m. when going to nearby mountains (about 20 min drive there), this info can tell you a lot... especially I'm interested what is so nice about Planina Blato that isn't elsewhere... personally, I'd raise all tolls to high mountains, and introduce them in many places, because I also cycle a lot on mountain roads (not trails meant for hikers) and few drivers slow down when they see a cyclist or hiker. Most often I swallow dust, because they're in a hurry, as they don't want to get up early and walk a few extra steps... that's why I'll always advocate and work to remove traffic from pristine nature... Edina, to mountains you go early, because views at noon are no longer as nice as in early hours... and often nicer elsewhere than where there are kilometers of sheet metal...

And we're back there, where some can't understand that for some hikers, driving to a closer starting point is the only way to reach a desired goal. Not because of "comfort", but because otherwise they'd extend the tour by an hour, two or even three, which for some means they couldn't do it due to various health or other limitations.

PS. Of course there's nothing particularly nice at Planina Blato, except parking possibility, but it's a starting point for many very nice tours.
