I simply avoid Bohinj locals and choose another place as a starting point for the tour. Once I parked in Stara Fužina and got a fine for exceeding the 2-hour parking by e.g. 15 minutes. The parking lot was almost empty.

Yesterday morning (14.10.) nobody was collecting toll. I was pleasantly surprised by the road, asphalt is extended, and the gravel part isn't bad either, so it looks like the collected money is used usefully too.

If it's true as Heinz wrote it's unparalleled swinery. Everywhere they will start charging then there will be a mess. Let them close car access to TNP and there will be peace.
Of course they lay some new asphalt and some Slovenes are satisfied and think like the last post by Lj.

This year when we went 4th May to Komna from the hut at Savica we also paid 3 eur parking, and on the sign it says they don't take responsibility for damage to cars so what's the parking for? Anyway in Bohinj and Bled area they only know how to charge but offer nothing. Everyone wants to live off tourism but do nothing.

With these tolls, they really exaggerate a bit. I don't say a few euros for daily parking or longer, arranged, asphalt roads (Mangart - 2055m). I remember beginnings of toll collection on Vršič, about ten years ago. I ask, where will this money go? Answer: For expansion and arrangement of asphalt parking at top of saddle. Of all that, to this day no trace. Even when plowing is needed, they hesitate, and don't know if better to wait for spring. Just one mountain pass, and state can't make those few meters of galleries, at Rjavčeva koča!

The road is turned into a sledding track and consequently closed from the junction to Voje onwards.

Sledding track from Vogar is one of the nicer ones and due to shady position usually not too icy.

Yesterday evening my brother rode down the sled track. It flew like a mad ski, only at a few spots unpleasant bumps so it lifts you a bit. Up they bring you with some 4WD bus and jeeps up to before Vogar (small hut). Every sledder also gets a headlamp and of course sleds.

21.8. paid parking fee - 10 eur, to avoid parking fee need to be very early. Otherwise road in good condition, large part asphalted too.

Already talked about this.. We pay something we already paid for. Last year the collector told me, when I asked what I get for those 10 €, that she'd charge 20 € if she could.. Nice!
Oil stain on the lake - why does nobody care? Maybe that's why too.
Maybe someone will gladly carry this ecological shame into the wide world also (or) precisely because of that.
felix, tell how early you have to be?
