Today at the "škaf", which is quite modest this year. It's steadily melting and at this heat it won't be there in two weeks. Plenty of visitors though, on the way back they were still climbing up.

On picture number 15 it's not Mrzla gora but HUDE DANE. Mrzla is more to the right of Latvice.

The little guys up top spraying have trouble. Today water froze on them.

Tone, these are locals' paths, we just humbly use them.
I enjoyed up there today, in proper winter (excellent) conditions. Will upload more pics tonight.

Yesterday my colleague and I were up there, as curiosity was really bothering me about what was happening with the shaft. Suza was right, from her photos compared to mine, the last snowfall really covered the shaft again. If you plan to visit it, I suggest not going before June 1, unless it's very warm the next few days.
The approach to the shaft is not demanding, because the snow was south-facing, but in case of frozen snow crampons and ice axe are mandatory, as in the last part, right before the shaft, the slope is quite steep.
After the obligatory depth measurement (only 7.5m), Jože and I with all the gear headed towards Latvice, where just below it was also my goal, as progress was very difficult due to the abundance of new and rotten snow.
There was no forecasted sun, so I saved on cream. Some pics follow.

As I wrote, the elves making the shaft have trouble this year.
In less than a month deepened by 1m!? If they continue like this...
