lp I hike quite a bit every year, so I'm interested where to get t-shirts that prevent sweating. I use t-shirts that are supposed to wick moisture from the skin, but they don't prevent sweating during effort. Thanks for the answer!?

Good t-shirts work by quickly moving sweat from the skin surface to the outer side of the shirt. So even when soaked, it's quite comfortable. I personally sweat a lot and this is quite important to me. It definitely works, but the shirt really has to be good.

I agree with the previous statements about sweating. It's just the body's natural response necessary to cool down during exertion. @serajko the most versatile and most reliable material is merino wool. Why? Because of its thermoregulatory properties, its antibacterial properties and all other advantages that other materials hardly achieve. Merino shirts are expensive and one wonders if it's worth paying 50+ EUR for an under, short or long shirt. My opinion? For me yes and for at least 4 years I don't use other materials. Whether it's a summer shirt for the city or a winter shirt for the mountains. Merino wool warms you when it's cold outside, cools in summer, doesn't stink and very importantly, even when wet it retains all these properties.

Serajko, you can't prevent sweating and it's generally known - healthy. SamoK described well how a good synthetic shirt works. I came across one like that many years ago. K-dry from Karibuja. Current shirts aren't even a shadow of its quality. I discovered this excellent shirt performance at some long circular mountain running race in slightly cooler conditions. Since I sweat heavily during exertion, the shirt gets wet right away, so on each lap I only changed the upper shirt, the lower active shirt gave a dry feeling on the skin all the time.

For me it's quite simple. When I'm moving 20h and more, if I wear a synthetic shirt, all sweat runs to the "pants" and I have pants wet to the knees sometimes even lower. For that I prefer a cotton shirt, when it gets soaked I wring it out and put it on again. Repeat as needed. Same with the headband. This "breathing" gear comes into play when I'm on a hike with some hiking group, when it's slow movement. For such gear they offer and praise, I was ready to pay (jacket 800-pants 500 E), but found it doesn't solve my problems. My opinion refers more to the dry season (April-October)

All good and right that such clothes exist, but we've strayed from the topic. Drying! doesn't belong in the hut room where hikers eat! That bothers me! Take a bag with you and put the clothes there.

OK, then drying As someone already wrote, humanity is gradually moving towards a delicate flower that freezes at the sight of salt. Shame. I think life is much nicer and more interesting if you're not shaken by the first breeze.

I too in the dry season prefer to wear cotton shirts, because I sweat very little. I've never bought any expensive piece of clothing. Mid-price range is more than enough for me.

better someone writes what the conditions are on the path to Komna and how it is up there and don't crap about this sweating. There are other sections for that.

All those who are bothered by WCs in the mountains, sweaty shirts on the stove, and expensive food or drink, and I don't know what else, better stay home. Home is the best.:http://www.hribi.net/slike/biggrin.gifD

Slamca, your blog about the sweaty deodorant smell reminded me of some mountain joke. In a mountain hut it stank disgustingly from the WC. Then the host gets an idea how to neutralize that stink. Sprays the WC heavily with spruce spray and waits for the toilet users' reaction. The first user's comment was: "Madonna, it stinks here like someone shat under a spruce." Mountain rose, your comment is solvable with minimal costs and we'll all be happy. Meaning wolf fed and goat whole. Regards!

In such a deep discussion I miss the expert view from Viharnik's attic and bik's expert summary. Have a nice time.

In the Dom na Komni maybe it didn't smell nice when clothes were drying, also on Kredarica by smell you detect where the toilet is - but still, go out and look towards Podrta gora, Mahavšček, lake valley or valley to the Lake. Step out of the Triglavski dom and gaze towards the Triglav summit. We don't go to the mountains for huts but for nature. When a storm rages outside we all happily rush to huts and don't think of trifles. These mountains, these huts are ours even if not comfy like abroad. Enjoy the mountains, leave little trifles in the valley.

Ah, I think (as always) those who rarely visit nature and mountains complain the most. But I agree that every thing/service can always be better, but it would be much more useful to bring these suggestions directly to hut keepers with nice/friendly words - whining and complaining on internet forums surely is not the right way. I wish everyone a nice rest of the day.
