Would like to go to Kanjavec. Interested if anyone traversed from Kanjavec to Zasavska hut at Prehodavci, then to Čez dol and Zadnji dol to Luknja. Especially interested that part from Zasavska hut to Luknja.

From Prehodavci through Zadnjiški dol and back up to Luknja the whole way you walk on mule tracks. So nothing special.

@furman: Why would you go from Zasavska koča to Luknja via Zadnjiški dol, if you can go past the hut to Dolič directly from Kanjavec? The path from Zasavska koča through Zadnjiški dol to Zadnjica is wonderful! A bit annoying only the scree field right before or below the top of the saddle Čez dol, otherwise really nice and in the upper part also very scenic path.

I thought I'd go first day from Aljažev dom to Triglav then to Dolič where I'd sleep. That's why I'm interested if on the second day I could go to Kanjavec and Prehodavci and return to Aljažev dom. I've walked the path from Aljažev dom to Luknja many times, but the path through Zadnjiški dol to Luknja is unknown to me.

Furman, sleep at Dolič, then to Kanjavec via Hribarice and on to Prehodavci and then back via Kanjavec ledges under Dolič, then down and finally up to Luknja. You don't need to go under Ozebnik . . . Better later do the tour Trebiški Dol - Zadnjiški Ozebnik - Zadnjiški Dol. Super autumn tour, start and end at TNP museum Na Logu in Trenta.

Thanks a lot. I saw pictures of the path over Kanjavec ledges. That would really be exciting.

Hi. I'm heading out tomorrow after 2 years again to Triglav. On Friday we'll descend from Kredarica to Planika, then via Dolič to Kanjavec. I'm interested how the fixed protections are, are they in good condition? I think we don't need to go via Hribarice. Am I wrong? Thanks for info. Best...Katy

There aren't many fixed protections on the path from Planika to Dolič, from Dolič to Kanjavec there's a steep cable right below the summit, which as far as I know is also ok. To the pass Hribarice you don't need to go, behind Dolič there's a signpost to Kanjavec. Have a nice time LP B

ben, thanks for the info . As far as I've checked, the path via Kanjavec to Prehodavci is much easier and doesn't drag on as much as via Hribarice . Last time we had wind in our face, so the ascent to Hribarice was much more demanding than it looked at first .

On Wednesday Kanjavec was rather poorly visited , so it was even nicer, the weather was just gorgeous. Otherwise constant company of ibex, chamois, marmots . The surrounding huts fill up only in the evening, mostly with foreign hikers.

On Saturday Oct 1st I set my goal: Kanjavec I started the trail at Planina Blato, then continued to Planina Dedno polje, where I turned right towards Kopica (left to Hut at Triglav Lakes) and continued all the way to the Vratca saddle, where a great view opens to Prisank, Razor and Škrlatica. In the distance you can already see Zasavska koča na Prehodavcih, a bit further down in the valley Green Lake. After good 40 min walk at the junction I turn right towards Hribarice all the way to the new junction, where left leads the path to the summit of Kanjavec. The best view, from Montaž to KSA, view of Triglav is majestic. Crazy! Descent I continued towards Prehodavci and then down to Green Lake, through the valley of Triglav Lakes to Koča 7J, and over Štapce back to Planina Blato. Really nice path, nice views, lakes,... The entire described path took a good 11 and a half hours. Due to late start, hard darkness caught me somewhere on the way to Planina Dedno polje, but due to good equipment with artificial light there were no problems.

Wonderful path. Nice photos, they refresh the memory of last year's tour in the same order..

Just to refresh my Saturday hike to Kanjavec. Nice tour just a bit too long. Started at night, returned at night. At Prehodavci they were repairing the hut, which they closed on Sunday. At Komarča I turned to Savica waterfall. There wasn't much to see. No water up top, but it tempted me to climb a bit down the slope. Common sense stopped the adventure when I saw two memorials due to falls into the depths. At the end of the path to the waterfall they could put some fence or at least a sign "end of path" or something similar.

Has anyone been after the last snowfall towards Kanjavec through the valley behind Debelem vrhom or through the valley behind Kopica? What are the conditions or how much snow is left? regards

According to webcams it's quite wintry up there. Webcams from Sveti Višarje towards Mangart/Jalovec are quite snowy, despite south slopes. According to cams it's clear from Debele peči to VDV, Stol to hut, Golica, Baba...those are south slopes.
