Early morning start from Styria to Koča pri slapu Savica. Cashier probably still asleep so we parked for free. Still in the dark we covered most of the ascent over Komarča, but towards Črno jezero it was already dawning a bit. We continued to Koča pri Triglavskih jezerih, there we had a coffee and full of energy continued to Ledvička and Zeleno jezero over Hribarice to the top of Kanjavec. Weather super, path in the morning a bit slippery and wet from dew, snow just enough to clean the shoes, no crowds as we were almost alone on the top. Fascinated us especially the very nice view of Triglav, which had many more visitors. Worth it.

Yes LJUBITELJ GORA. It's no longer what we used to experience in these mountains. We didn't even go up yesterday, it's just AC, what all you see up there, how equipped, in the hut itself crowd so you have nowhere to step, everything is just one business. Sad.

That's why it's best in the hills in winter....

I agree, but in September it's also nice. No more such danger of storms, no heat, crowds...

I was three weeks in July on Triglav, and there was never any special crowd, a few people and no problem with meeting.

Wow...are you perhaps a guide or just like that. Well it's the same, on Wednesday at 17h e.g. there were over 50 people from Kredarica to the top, three groups of 10-15, then some more who don't step aside for anything etc. But true two days Otto Pestner was filming some spot up there and helicopter flying up and down, maybe more curious because of that. But it's not just my opinion so the crowd up there is much larger than years ago, several old ,,mountaineers,, confirm that.

Also because of the internet there's more crowds than before! If you don't like crowds just go to less known peaks or where there's no hut on top, e.g. Velika Ponca, Škrlatica...

But it's the highest and you're not a "real Slovene" if you haven't been up at least once

BAXI, after 10 years my daughter just wanted to go up, after 14 ascents to the top I really had no special wishes. But it's true as you say, when we hike others, especially Kamnik-Savinja Alps, it's a completely different story. No crowds and you can really enjoy the beauties of our mountains.

I agree with mountaineers that it's nicer on lonelier paths, and there are still plenty, you just need to browse some guide or memory a bit. But now it's peak of vacations and it's natural that more people are in mountains too. Soon it will be September, when lines on mountain paths thin out and the air is not overheated anymore and views even better.

Last Thursday we went from Blato over Vogels to Kanjavec. To pass Vrata we met only one person, at Hribarice columns on highway Triglav - 7J. To Kanjavec medium rush, but on top we had some time alone. Back we headed to valley Za Debelim vrhom, where we lost unmarked path soon and bashed through pathless terrain, which is wonderful but physically and orientationally demanding! Circle closed at stream on planina V Lazu, 12 hour journey in Bohinj Lake. More photos of this wonderful tour on my blog: Preko Voglov na Kanjavec

Selling doesn't bother; better said everyone can bring their own, then wouldn't need anything, not even beer on top. Like this maybe good too, because people come up without gear and drinks. But everything too commercial, especially August. In October already calmer up..

Today somehow didn't feel like mountains, so did something shorter: Rit v Trenti- Path over Komar- path over north face of Kanjavec shelf- Vodnikov Vršac- Kanjavec- Vrh Hribaric- Škednjovec- Dolič- Rit v Trenti = 12 hours of enjoyment in finally ideal weather. Geologically one of most interesting paths so far. Ibex win of course! Report (probably) to follow.

No, not belittling mountains. It was a pure fun tour. Parts of path not joke at all and there was quite some climbing up to II in severe exposure. Just want to say I planned much longer tour. But couldn't get up early enough in the morning and since left late from home, did such short tour. But no less interesting.
