Plattnerspitz is 2517 meter high peak in the Natural Park Gruppo di Tessa. The peak is located 3 km southeast of peak Äußere Schwenzerspitze. The nearest mountain hut is Schutzhütte Hochalm - Rifugio Hochalm, located 5km east-southeast. A bit closer is Rabensteiner Alm, which is located 1.8km to the north-northeast. 4 km southwest from the summit there is glacier Westlicher Seeber Ferner, 5 km southwest from the summit there is also glacier Hochfirstferner. Northwest of the summit is the valley Timmelstal.
