Description of mountain:
Turška jama v Gozdašnici is an 18 m long and up to 2 m deep rock cavity or "kevderc" with a free entrance, located at 835 m above sea level, in the south-western slope of the Gozdašnica hill above the Karavanke Zavrh (Završnica) valley. Some sources refer to the cave as a "medieval cave castle", while its popular name is said to be the "Turkish Cave". It is a beautiful and well-preserved example of a fortified cave shelter, which was probably built in the 13th century and used for hiding and defence against the Turks during their invasions of Carinthia in the 15th and 16th centuries. From a small lookout point above the cave, we can see the villages Moste, Breg and Zasip, and the Zavrh valley below.
