The sky gave us yesterday a day we won't forget anytime soon. Especially for our two male hikers who were there for the first time in KSA yesterday. Probably delighted. Maybe we'll meet again sometime. And we chatted nicely on the top and of course on the descent.

@panda maybe I wasn't clear enough. They have plenty of trails behind them but in the Julians. We are farther from the Kamniks so we don't go as much as to the Julians. Both commented that Cold Mountain is quite demanding. @dprapr very nice in your ends and I remembered you when hiking there under those interesting stone pillars.

Beautiful days keep lining up and I made good use of yesterday's. Up the 'mirrored' road to the empty parking lot. Gloves were almost mandatory, thermometer stuck at five. At Simon obligatory tea, change shirt and already heading to Okrešelj. There it's no warmer and I warm my fingers again with a mug of tea that's 20 cents cheaper than on Šmarna gora. No visitors although it's already ten o'clock, so we chat peacefully with the keeper. I shoulder my backpack and head in the direction of Gornji Okrešelj. On the way I always stop at the memorial to the accident victims, a bit higher I explore the little spring that sinks after a few meters. From there it's half an hour where you leave the poles, since in the wall where the fun climbing starts they are superfluous. Progress on dry rock was a real treat, even greater on the top where except for choughs there was no living soul the whole time. The view was hindered here and there by some fog, so the camera didn't rest this time either.
On the return again to Frischauf for a dry shirt, from there still the last 500 meters of elevation to goulash at Simon.
How super it is when you don't have to drag heavy winter gear, rope, lots of drink with you because there's no more heat, and also much less various clothes with an excellent weather forecast.

Thanks, guys. It's nothing special now when the day is long. In July, e.g., a mountain day due to afternoon thunderstorms can end already at two in the afternoon.
Tomorrow it'll be a nice day again, so I'm going from Krma to Kanjavec and using the openness of both huts.

Velika (Carinthian) Baba - 2127 m and then Cold Mountain - 2203 m
A royal tour on Saturday 21.9.2019. Start from Jezersko, via Ledine to Velika Baba (sunrise), stop at Ledinski vrh, descent to Logarska and ascent to beautiful, very demanding Cold Mountain. Followed descent and again ascent under Križ to the other side to the hut and to the valley via Slovenska pot.
Accumulated almost 20 km, with 2300 meters ascent and as much descent. The tour really provided phenomenal views, so 87 pictures await you in the blog!

I'm glad someone else agrees with me that that little bridge is the trickiest spot on the whole path. If you slip, of course in snow, you have practically no chance to stop.

Definitely a mountain worthy of all respect. Beautiful and demanding. Congrats, ločanka! That spot is really exposed. For me personally, even the good meter on photo 39 is awkward. The best for me at Cold Mountain is the Rinka backdrop, which looks so mighty and dramatic, photo 30. Best regards, stay safe!

Thanks for the congratulations. dprapr, maybe at that spot on the return it really saves you that the terrain rises a bit. Zoran, picture 30 is also very much to my liking, especially the whiteness of the rocks on it, some and others.
