The forecast isn't promising on pro-vreme net, and this other one (Meteo-Triglav) means nothing to us because it applies to Julian Alps.

I recommend the address www.weather forecast where after opening the page you enter the peak name in the search (for Kamnik ones it's Grintavec or Skuta; for Julians I think there's even more choice). You get forecast data for a couple days ahead.
However, the question remains which forecast and which page to trust most, as some for the same days are completely opposite.

I get up at 4:00 am and go check outside what the sky is like. Stars were shining, so I'm going. At 5:30 am I park at the start of Matkov kot. Weather completely different from home. Those gray clouds that promise nothing good. But the desire was too strong and I set off anyway. During the ascent towards Škaf the clouds almost completely disappeared. As I approach the cirque under the Mrzla gora ridge, the weather worsens again, light drizzle starts, so I speed up to the summit. Strong wind on top. View was nice despite all, as among higher peaks only this one wasn't in fog. Drizzle stops too. Descended towards Okrešelj, where I turn up towards Zabrložnica. Below the saddle above the hunter's hut under a thick beech I wait out a short shower. I admired Matkovo okno only from the top of Zabrložnica, to have enough time for Sovinjek and descent back to Matkov kot. I won't describe that, because it has to be experienced.

Since I see JTrogar has already given his comment and pictures (ON ONE OF THE PICTURES WE THREE WHO WERE UP THERE YESTERDAY ARE TOO) I have to join in, and write something too.
Janez, you described the weather conditions very well briefly, which changed every five minutes.
We went up from Okrešelj, past (or rather under) Savinjsko sedlo.
This is definitely a mountain for connoisseurs, with climbing experience, without vertigo and fear of heights.
On exposed spots there is enough fixed protection, where there isn't you can grab the rocks, which are quite sharp mrk pogled.

Definitely a nice tour that leaves impressions and memories that will last a long time.

Today I was on Mrzla gora.
Weather excellent without clouds, clear, sunny, warm with a little breeze.
Good weather continues too, no snow. In Kamniških it was slightly whitened on Kočni, but tomorrow there won't be any more.
It's worth going up.cool

I don't recommend. Go to Mrzla gora exclusively in the summer months. Because it is minimally protected and in this season in the high mountains it's frozen in many places. On this forum you can read a lot about it. Safe step wherever you go and nice greeting.

Today, my friend and I climbed to Mrzla gora from Mrzli dol. Beautiful sunny weather quickly melts the snow, but on Mrzla gora there is still so much that it's a bit spicier than in the lowlands.

I thought of Nemško in Ojstrica, but on arrival in Logarska above Ojstrica it was so foggy that I turned towards Matkov kot. Well, there it was almost nothing bettervelik nasmeh. I parked a bit before the hut in Matkov kot. Temp at eight -2°C. To avalanche field under Škaf dry. Avalanche field under Matkov Škaf solid for walking. A little above Škaf I continued with crampons and ice axes. Snow good for ascent. Also new snow up to 15cm, which didn't bother me on ascent. Problem on descent because in lower half snow too icy so that snow balls formed and therefore much more stemming descentvelik nasmeh. Good that no sun was shining, otherwise today I wouldn't have seen the summit of Mrzla gora. From summit observed "sotrpine" on Kamniško sedlo, Turska gora and in Turski žleb.

How is Matkov Škaf this year? There hasn't been much rain yet, so probably not very deep, or am I wrong?

It's too early to talk about how big the Škaf will be. It hasn't formed at all yet. Judging by the snow amount, not too deep.
