Today from Okrešelj to Mrzla gora.
Ice axe needed to cross snowfield before wall entry. No more snow ahead. Morning snowfield was frozen, so I could climb to the top. On descent I found the bridge between wall and snowfield only just over 10 cm thick, so I descended along the edge ridge.
Only question is when it will fall. zavijanje z očmi

While it was brewing on the Kamnik side, there was great weather on the Logarska side.

Bridge under which I descended along the edge gully. One or two more days and it will be gone. Then the entry into the wall will be harder

Comment for photos and description from 20.6.;
a bit late but still congrats to both Dragotas as photo authors. Tour is the right one, photos say everything.
Memories of the route done about a decade ago with Dragotov and others have faded a bit, so it was a pleasure to see the details I had almost forgotten.

Was also there yesterday with the group. Did a loop tour: Logarska-Okrešelj-Mrzla Gora-Matkov kot. Beautiful, but yeah, demanding ... worth all respect. Mountain-trail that leaves a mark if you're a bit more "cautious" nasmeh

Congrats Bsae. Been planning it for a while, this Mrzla gora. Weather messing a bit, time a bit, and that mark you mention worries me a bit. Maybe it happens this year if autumn is nice.

Today at the top. Weather excellent according to the forecast, some fog though. We started from Matkov kot. From the top, view on neighboring peaks, but not far as there was fog/clouds below. The top was quite warm, no wind. Trail to scree poorly marked, we missed it on ascent and went by torrent bed (no big trouble, some rock scrambling), from scree to top well marked. Trail otherwise unremarkable.

Whoever didn't pick the right peak the day before yesterday was more or less disappointed with the view from it. I soon realized I chose right. A few years since last visit to this mountain, so even more welcome. Several approaches, I lengthened mine starting from last Jermance parking, though friends warned on return that they charge there from this year. Well, next time 300m longer tour, ha ha. At K saddle windy as hell, on Okrešelj to top sunny calm no wind. Top crowded like never from all approaches. Glad to see Roman who huffed up behind me from Jezersko end.

My parking spot, which has been prohibited since this year.

My today's goal before descending from the windy KS towards Okrešelj. Left Mrzli vrh 2094, right Matkova kopa 1957.

Today's day was like a gift from Santa Claus for me. I've never had such conditions on Mrzla gora right before the holidays.
I started already in the dark, before half past six - in the afternoon there were ski jumps on TV and I usually don't miss them. On Okrešelj they were already waking up, light was already on in the GRS cabin.
First I planned to approach from Matkov kot, but I changed my mind due to high temperatures. On return I could have been a target of stones from Hudih dan and from Krnička gora.
The ridge was, given the low snow cover, contrary to expectation quite snowy. The rugged slab was also still partially snow-covered. However, as I already mentioned, conditions to shout about.
Towards the summit I noticed there was no cross with box anywhere. I found it in the snowy slope on the left and laboriously dragged it to the top, where it will wait for spring and repair. The box is missing the lid and the logbook is nowhere. Probably the tooth of time gnawed it and it overturned. No other possible variant comes to mind. Whoever bothers to climb this summit probably has no destructive intentions.
From the top I watched ascenders in the opposite Turski žleb. Unfortunately time was urging me and I had to go back to the valley, even though it was pleasantly warm on top without wind.
We can only wish for more such days!
