This is ordinary Slovenian theft. Just like in all areas, local communities have smelled the money and are introducing usurious parking fees and usurious prices for viewing sights, which are a public good. There is no excuse for this usury here. I advise all these big shots to visit the Carnic Alps, Dolomites, and finally nearby Zajezera, to see the arrangement of parking lots, especially parking prices, if they already compare with similar things in Slovenia, where usury always gains more momentum under the pretext of nature protection. As said, one needs to look to developed Europe. From the increasingly backward Balkans...

Parking for whole Zajezera valley in Italy is 5€. Not one day, can be for days or weeks. Five huge lots along valley. Starts for routes and huts. Montaž, Viš, also Višarje by road. Where this greed with parking fees and taxes from??? Seems Slovenia offers nothing but usury prices....

On Saturday with my partner I planned to go over Via Italiana. The closed road already crossed our plans. We decided for plan B. Meaning change clothes, change shoes then in running gear, partly on the road partly on the footpath to the saddle then ahead on the Italian to the top. On top quite a few people. It was also quite cold, regarding temperatures in the valley. At that time it was still clear. For the return from the saddle to the car at the bridge we ran on the road. Right at the car the first drops appeared, which were soon followed by heavy rain. We made it excellently, I think though that not so few got wet on Saturday. Accumulated ca 25 km and a bit more than 1500 elevation gain. Beer and a bit later two rounds of ice cream fully restored our energy

My companion and I did this path yesterday. It showed itself in all its beauty this time too. In good weather surprisingly no crowd on it. But it avenged itself higher on the ridge, which at places looked like it had a feather duster. From the top we quickly set off because we were returning via the Jubilee path. We walked it first time and both agreed not the last. Maybe in reverse direction. Path is open, but a bit before the hole there's another small landslide that doesn't pose a problem. Since we were quite late in the morning and by some miracle found a spot for the car and left it there somewhere, we found it there somewhere too, but lonely. But before that there was also beer, which I think we deserved. So we did Prisojnik via all paths. Some even multiple times.

On Sunday with partner to Jezerska Kočna from Czech hut. Path without features. Weather wonderful, summit just right temperature with little wind that prompted thoughts of windbreaker. Plenty of visitors. Return with stop at hut that shortened the way to beer quite a bit.

mizakaši 22.7.2021 22:26:49 Yesterday with my dear one I was in these beautiful parts. Since we did Montaž via Pipanova last year we decided to climb the promised Left Path this year. We started in the opposite direction. We began below Pipanova ladder and headed towards Špik. The path is excellently secured with impeccable protections. Technically not demanding but quite exposed. Not for dizzy people. After descent to the notch follows a short ascent along the cable and a short ladder, which for the first couple of meters is maybe even a bit overhanging. A few more turns and we were already at the top with wonderful views from Viš all the way to Montaž and further to Strma peč. No snow on the path anymore. For return beer at the hut and then descent back to the valley on the newly asphalted road. As a curiosity I can say that a young chamois followed us the entire path. All the way to Špik. If that's their habit I don't know. smile

Last Saturday, 9.7., also we two with companion on this wonderful mountain. Up the ridge path, down the Slovenian path. On the descent a couple of snow patches, which don't cause trouble. Handy for a little drink. Quite a few visitors. On top it was colder than warm. Vršič standardly occupied. What will it be like..

I don't know why there's need for some dramatizing here. If we looked at it that way, everyone would just stay home. Approaches to summits are also secured with cables, so everyone who goes there must know what they're getting into and accept a certain risk. If they're not capable of accepting that, they should just stay home. No one forces anyone anywhere. Everyone decides for themselves. Here, only the equipment, which should at least be legally regulated and which everyone really should use. Roads and highways are legally and maintenance-wise very well regulated, also car equipment and rules, but there are also huge numbers of victims there. All ages. Good luck and safe steps to you.

On Sunday my roommate and I visited dad again. From Krma we started still in the dark. Snow at the start above Kredarica and on Triglav top just enough for snowballing. To Kredarica also some snow patches that don't cause problems anymore. Weather for ascent was ideal. Here and there mists descending, just enough to watch visibility for photographing views. Visit moderate given weather and extended weekend. At the hut on return beer in the sun which already warmed properly. In short, Triglav as Triglav.

On Saturday with my partner we hiked this direct route. From Tolminske Ravne already quite late we quickly bite into the steepness. Heat doesn't let up until the last quite steep part where the breezes still cool the overheated bodies a bit. No snow on this path anymore. We didn't meet a single hiker. For hikers who don't like crowds and are rewarded for the summit with wonderful views all around, this is an excellent choice. I recommend. On the way back a stop with beer at the hut on Planina Razor. Ice cream a bit later in the valley.

Given the good forecast, yesterday with my partner we headed to Grintovec. We started from Konec where there were already quite a few cars parked. Below Kokrško sedlo there's still a snow tongue, which could be bypassed without problem. Further from the saddle the path is dry, except a smaller patch of snow at the end of the first ladder, which could be bypassed from below. We put on crampons at the start of the second ladder. Snow held nicely on ascent, on descent already quite soft. At the top quite cold and windy. Fog all the time in bands. Sun shone when we were already back at the hut. No crowd at the top. All together six, maybe seven hikers, some turned back without winter gear. This time to Grintovec still not without it. Where all the owners of cars parked in Konec or nearby along the path have gone I can only guess. Otherwise no sign prohibiting driving to Konec this time .

After a couple of running weekends, yesterday with my partner we weighed Grintovec and the long-admired Svinjak. Based on the weather forecast we chose the latter. No regrets. The weather in these parts held until late afternoon. The path without particularities, on the summit, which wasn't lonely yesterday, we enjoyed wonderful views despite the slightly colder wind. Since we did the tour a bit too quickly, we went to check the Soča spring. Before and after, we weren't deprived of beer or ice cream. Again a nice day in these wonderful places.
