Östliche Schnapfenspitze is 3219 meter high peak and is part of the Silvretta Alps. The peak is located 1.3 km northwest of peak Südliches Fluchthorn. The nearest mountain hut is Jamtalhütte, located 3km west-southwest. A little further is bivouac Ehemalige Zollwachhütte. 3 km south-southwest from the summit there is glacier Futschölferner, 5 km west from the summit there is also glacier Madlenerferner.
