Kofeljoch - Giogo del Covolo is 2599 meter high peak and is part of the National Park Stelvio. The peak is located 0.3 km north of peak Schaftspitze - Monte delle Pecore. The nearest mountain hut is Düsseldorfer Hütte (Zaytalhütte) - Rifugio Serristori, located 5km southwest. A little further is Gampenalm - Malga Gampen. 4 km south from the summit there is glacier Ofenwandferner/Vedretta del Forno, 7 km south from the summit there is also glacier Rosimferner - Vedretta di Rosim. The peak is located northwest of the valley Laaser Tal - Valle di Laasa.
