Hochofenwand - Croda del Forno is 3431 meter high peak and is part of the National Park Stelvio. The peak is located 0.9 km north of peak Hohe Angelusspitze - L'Angelo Grande. The nearest mountain hut is Düsseldorfer Hütte (Zaytalhütte) - Rifugio Serristori, located 3km west-southwest. A little further is bivouac bench. 8 km southeast of the peak there is lake Zufritt-Stausee - Lago di Gioveretto. 0.6 km south-southeast from the summit there is glacier Ofenwandferner/Vedretta del Forno, 3 km south from the summit there is also glacier Rosimferner - Vedretta di Rosim. East-northeast of the summit is the valley Laaser Tal - Valle di Laasa.
