Gamsspitz is 3320 meter high peak and is part of the National Park Stelvio. The peak is located 0.5 km northwest of peak Lyfihorn. The nearest mountain hut is Düsseldorfer Hütte (Zaytalhütte) - Rifugio Serristori, located 4km west-northwest. A little further is bivouac bench. 6 km southeast of the peak there is lake Zufritt-Stausee - Lago di Gioveretto. 1.9 km northwest from the summit there is glacier Ofenwandferner/Vedretta del Forno, 2 km southwest from the summit there is also glacier Rosimferner - Vedretta di Rosim. The peak is located south-southwest of the valley Laaser Tal - Valle di Laasa.
