Description:
Hochfeiler - Gran Pilastro is 3509 meter high peakon which a cross stands and is part of the Zillertal Alps. The peak is located on the border between the country of Italy and the country of Austria. The nearest mountain hut is Hochfeilerhütte, located 2km southwest. A little further is bivouac Hochferner-Biwak. 0.8 km west from the summit there is glacier Weißkarferner - Vedretta della Quaira Bianca, 1.1 km south-southeast from the summit there is also glacier Gliederferner - Ghiacciaio del Gran Pilastro.
