Veliki Javornik (Javorniki)

Description of peak:
Veliki Javornik is a 1,268-metre-high peak in the forested hills called the Javorniki. The vast forests of the Javorniki stretch from Postojna to Cerknica polje. The forests of the Javorniki are home to many species of birds and other wild animals such as bears, wolves and lynx.
At the top of Veliki Javornik there is a small house of the radio club Proteis from Postojna.
