Planina Blato - Morbegna (Za Kopico)

Access to the starting point:
From the Ljubljana - Jesenice motorway, take the Lesce exit and follow the road towards Bled and on to Bohinjska Bistrica. Continue towards Bohinjsko jezero (Ribčev laz), at which you will come to a crossroads where you will turn right towards Stara Fužina. At Stara Fužina, at the crossroads by the chapel, turn sharp left onto the ascending road towards mountain pasture Blato, mountain pasture Vogar and the Voja valley. The road continues to the place where the toll and parking fees are collected, and we follow it to the next crossroads, where we continue to the left (right Voje). We then follow the road to the next crossroads (we drive for some time), where we take a sharp right in the direction of mountain pasture Blato (straight ahead mountain pasture Vogar). Follow this road to the parking lot above mountain pasture Blato.

Path description:
Just before mountain pasture in the parking lot, cart track turns sharply uphill to the left. After ten minutes you will come to a crossroads where you go left. Follow the wide cart track all the way to the hut at Mountain pasture near Jezero. The hut has a winter room. Descend a few metres from the hut and follow the signs for the Triglav of the lake. After half an hour's walk along a wide path, you reach the mountain pasture Dedno polje. Here there is a shepherd's hut where you can buy some sour milk or something. This hut is included in the Bohinj Cheese Route. Here, at mountain pasture Dedno polje, turn right towards Zasavska hut. Just above mountain pasture the path climbs steeply and after half an hour the steepness subsides. The trail then climbs up the southern slopes of Slatna and Prvego Vogel. Soon you reach a valley called Za Kopico. Follow this valley all the way to the Vrata saddle. Here we continue on, initially slightly downhill. Cross the slopes of Vršaki, where you cross a wide but slightly exposed short shelf and after this you come to a crossroads where the path from the Triglav Lakes joins. Go right here. After a few minutes of ascent we are at a crossroads where the path to Kanjavec branches off to the left and we continue straight ahead. Here the steepness gives way and the path leads us through the high mountains over Hribarice. Soon another path branches off to the left to Kanjavec. We continue straight on again. After Hribarice the path starts to descend. We descend on scree towards the Tržaški hut at Dolič. There is a short gentle climb and an even shorter descent to the hut. The hut also has a winter bivouac. From the hut continue west. Continue along the mulatier, which climbs quite steeply. After half an hour's walk from the hut, the world flattens out and the path no longer gains altitude. Now we can see Triglav. We walk towards Triglav. The path now passes along the fothills for some time (carefully). We arrive at a crossroads where the path from Vrat via Plemenice joins us. Here turn left onto an unmarked path which you follow for about 10 minutes to Morbegna. Car-Dedno polje 1:30. Dedno polje-Vrata 2:30. Gate-Dolič 1:15. Dolič Morbegna 1:40.
